Food...weird yet delicious ways of eating it
I froze a cup of green seedless grapes and I am now enjoying them. I never thought they would taste this good frozen. Sweet like candy yet juicy like a popsicle. So maybe they weren't ALL the way frozen but they were delicious. Just thought I would share. Share your weird way of eating something...keep it clean:wink: .

getting rid of smoke smell in clothes?
So, I have lost quite a bit of weight so I posted my bigger clothes on the classifieds. Well, someone asked me if I would be willing to trade my clothes for her clothes as I need a smaller wardrobe and she now needs a larger wardrobe. However, upon getting them home I have noticed that they smell of something---like she…

Can you lose...
Can you lose the "last 10 lbs" by switching to maintenance and do heavy lifting with SOME cardio? Or is it better to stick to a caloric deficit and exercise? The reason I ask is because I want to tone up some more too. So, I was wondering if I can do both (tone & lose the last 10 lbs) while set to maintenance? Or is it…

How many of you...?
How many of you have stalled and ate at "maintenance" for a few weeks? Did it work? Did you gain? I know you aren't supposed to gain but I am scared to try it. How long did you stay at maintenance? For me I just feel like I am sooo hungry and I have stalled so I am debating on eating at "maintenance" for a couple weeks and…

maintenance?
So I see some people on here say they are going to switch to maintenance for a little while. Some people say they are switching to "their goal maintenance" and others I assume are just switching to "their current weight maintenance." This is an honest question---not to be mean or anything, BUT why would you switch to your…

Sick...
So, I am showing some symptoms of the flu and I am not going to go into detail for your sake. Question is do I still work out tomorrow? Also, I wasn't even CLOSE to hitting my calorie goal today. So, what does that mean for my weight loss? I will probably lose since I couldn't keep much down, but when I am better what are…

My Polar HRM...
My Polar FT60 HRM is set to "lose weight" and it said to "Train a lot less in Zone 3" this week. So, basically no intense hard-breathing workouts? I just find that odd---I figured the harder you work & sweat the more fat you would burn:huh: ...So, am I understanding this correctly that I need to stick to low-intense…

When you have a "cheat" day...
When you have a "cheat day" do you still log your food? The reason I ask is because I have been stuck at this weight since the beginning of December. I have been thinking about having a "cheat day" to confuse my body to see if it will help. I have decided to have this cheat day 2 or 3 times BUT then I chicken out and log…

Chalean Extreme users... water retention?
So, yesterday I was really feeling in the mood to do 2 ChaLean Extreme workouts. I did Push Circuit 1 and then Burn Intervals. I did them about and hour to an hour and a half apart. Now this morning I am totally regretting it. I am soooo sore. I also weigh almost 1 whole pound more than yesterday and I am freaking out. I…

dumb question regarding Polar HRM
So, on December 28th I did Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism dvd and in 55 minutes with warm up and cool down my HRM says the effect was "maximal performance improving" and I burned 464 calories, 18% fat. Yesterday, I did Leslie Sansone Walk At Home 5 mile Fat Burning Walk (I only did 3 miles) and in 37 minutes…

Has anyone tried this? http://www.thepostgame.com/blog/pulse/201112/unbelievable-4-minute-cardio-workout Just wondering if it actually works and if anyone has worn a HRM while doing it? Just curious how many calories are burned in 4 minutes:huh: .

I am so going to try this. Brownie Batter pancakes low calor
Off of Skinnytaste.com and look at this: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/12/brownie-batter-pancakes.html#more I am confused though. It says in the nutrition facts that it has 172 calories for 6-8 silver dollar pancakes. However, under the directions it says ONLY 130 calories for the entire recipe...wonder which is correct?…

confused on what to do...
I am 5' 1&1/2 and weighed in around 130 this morning. I have a goal weight of 120. I want to lose weight AND tone up. However, if I am understanding this correctly you canNOT gain muscle and tone up when in a deficit. So, does that mean I need to eat at my current "maintenance" calories to tone up---which means if I eat at…

Stay at home moms (or dads)
I am a stay at home Mom of 3 daughters aged 4 and under. I am just wondering what people like me should set their settings to on MFP? I have it set to "sedentary" but I am wondering if I should have it set to "lightly active" instead? Even if you don't have kids or are a stay at home parent please tell me what you think I…

Looking up recipes
Is there a way to look up HOW to make a certain recipe? The reason I ask is because I looked up the nutrition information in the food database for Cherry Coke Zero and a recipe for Cherry Coke Zero Dark Chocolate Cupcakes showed up in the database. I thought it sounded delicious but have no clue how to make it. There are…

Chalean Extreme users...
For those who are doing Chalean Extreme and are using a HRM....do you know how many calories you roughly burn per workout? The reason I ask is because I want to pre-log my food for tomorrow and I am planning on doing Chalean Extreme tomorrow. I have been doing Chalean Extreme for awhile but I just got my HRM for Christmas…

Jillian Michaels Banish Fat Boost Metabolism dvd
I have been using this dvd off and on for awhile and when I log it in MFP I usually log it as High Impact Aerobics since it has a lot of jumping etc and it usually gives me a calorie burn around 378 calories for the whole dvd including warm up & cool down. Well I got a Polar FT 60 HRM for Christmas and I just did the whole…

Question about HRM...
So, I just got the Polar FT60 HRM and i have a question. Do you stop the HRM AFTER you cool down and stretch, or right after you stop working out? The reason I ask is because as I was cooling down and stretching I was still burning calories. So, I stopped it today after I did my cool down and stretch and I burned 372…

Determining TDEE?
How do you determine TDEE? I have my profile set to lightly active and MFP set it as a net calorie goal of 1200 to lose 1 lb a week. I am 5'1 and currently 133 lbs and according to MFP my BMR is 1259. Do you think 1200 is too low? Maybe I am just not seeing where to find it? Forgive me as I am fairly new to this site. I am…

for those people who MFP have their net calories @ 1200...
For those of us who MFP calculates should be netting 1200 calories a day (including me): Are you consuming ALL of your exercise calories? This is such a debatable topic as I have searched these message boards---- BUT most peoples responses come from people who have a lot more calories to work with. We have so little…

Should I go into maintenance?
I was just wondering if I should go into maintenance mode for a week or two. I started out here and MFP set me to 1200 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week. I then lost the majority of my weight---maybe just water weight....However, I felt irritable and cranky ALL the time so last week I upped my calories to 1440 to lose .5…

Do you watch your sodium intake...
Do you watch your sodium intake? Does it affect weight loss if I go over? Some days I go over by a lot and then other days I don't. I think it averages out, but I was wondering how closely we should watch our sodium intake if we are trying to lose weight? Won't most of it get flushed out when we exercise, and drink our 8…

Can I just...
According to MFP if I net 1200 calories I can lose 1 lb a week. If I net 1440 calories I can lose .5 lbs a week. I am thinking 1200 calories is too low (since my BMR is 1252) and I am thinking 1440 might be a tad high. Can I just net somewhere between 1200-1440 calories and lose weight? I am thinking I will at least eat my…

Can someone please look...
Can someone please look at my diary to see if I am doing the Olivia method right? I started this method yesterday---and I have prelogged my meals and exercise up to Tuesday. Today is my day off of exercise but I did exercise yesterday and will again tomorrow. I have my settings set to "lightly active, maintain weight"…

Adjusting calorie intake...weigh gain possible?
According to MFP my BMR is 1259....and my TDEE is 1700 MFP set me to 1200 net calories to lose 1 lb a week. I lost 7 lbs in the last 15 days staying around 1200 calories (I am sure most of it was water weight). However, I started doubting that it was enough calories for my needs---not to mention I thought my net calories…

At what point?
At what point do you switch from mostly cardio to more strength training? The reason I ask is because I am now within 12 lbs of my goal weight (120 lbs) although I would be happy with 7 more lbs. I was doing mostly cardio 5-6 days a week and only added strength about 2 (sometimes 3) days a week. Now that I am so close to…

Let me get this straight...
I am fairly new on this site and I was wondering something. Sometimes if I KNOW I won't get an exercise in the next day I will end up doing 2 workouts the day before...Now from what I am reading on this site----exercise/calories in & out is a day-to-day thing. So, working out extra the day before won't /can't help the…

Confused...
On my home page it says my net calories is 1037. My goal is 1200 calories. However, if I eat anything else I WILL go over on some like carbs or protein (as I have already planned and logged my dinner and snacks for the day). However, I don't think eating under 1200 is healthy right? So do I go over on my daily allotment of…

how to log Chalean Extreme...
I have used the search engine to see if this has been asked before but there were quite a few different answers... My question is how do you log each dvd? I have logged Circuit 2 under cardiovascular as strength training AND I logged Burn Intervals under cardiovascular as circuit training since that dvd has both cardio and…
