Do you watch your sodium intake...

Do you watch your sodium intake? Does it affect weight loss if I go over? Some days I go over by a lot and then other days I don't. I think it averages out, but I was wondering how closely we should watch our sodium intake if we are trying to lose weight? Won't most of it get flushed out when we exercise, and drink our 8 cups of water a day?

You know, I never really even thought about it. This post just made me go check. My past few days I've had:
568, 587, 720, 537...
What is "normal"?0 -
I watch it for medical reasons, not weight loss.
High sodium intake keeps about 5 pounds of water on you.0 -
i try to, not so good at it because i love salty foods.....i try to more for my blood pressure though0

No, I just know it's a bit over 3000 - a great number for me considering the reading before I began this latest push to my goals.
That's close to the recommended intake anyway - a lot closer than the 7500 number representing my former eating habits.
Everything is relative.
My BP is 115/75, so I am not one bit worried, and I just don't much care.
I'll fight that battle later.0 -

I watch it for medical reasons also, high blood pressure.
Amazing the levels of sodium in certain things.0 -
No, I just make sure to eat a good amount of potassium...mostly. bananas and potatoes0

What's the suggested sodium intake anyways? On some days I was close to 2500-3500 and I thought geez that's high
...but I seriously don't know???

My diary is wide open so feel free to poke around. But basically I rarely eat any processed foods. Just fresh meat, produce and nuts and oils. I'm light on grain bc I just don't like how it makes me feel.0 -
current recommendation is 25000
