What's your favorite thing you ate this past week?
I made Peace Love and Carb Lasagna. It's was not only the best low carb lasagna I've had. It as the best lasagna I ever made!!! It doesn't have to be a recipe. It might be some fresh produce that knocked your socks off or some great cheese...

Ladies.... PMS
OMG I have the worst PMS I can remember in years. I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I've got all of that self-degrading inner monologue going that I get during TOM. Headache - not a migraine... yet. I ovulated REALLY early this month. Just a wonky cycle. This is my 2nd cycle LCHF (1st cycle was fine). Blame WOE or…

Picnic Food???
I'm going out on the boat this weekend. Will have cooler but no means to heat anything up. Ideas for a "picnic" lunch. Thanks!

Shoulder Pain GONE!!!!
I had surgery 4 1/2 months ago to remove a bone spur that was causing me pain and limiting my range of motion and would eventually tear my rotator cuff. Bone Spur surgery is a much more minor surgery and recovery time as compared to rotator cuff surgery. I healed very slowly from my bone spur surgery and still had some…

Vacation
I'm going on vacation next week. I've been averaging 40 carbs per day. I'm thinking about upping my carbs to 100 for vacation to allow for a little more flexibility. What do YOU do on vacation??

Migraines and Keto/LCHF
I have been following this diet for just over a month and love it. My question is about my husband. He is a frequent migraine sufferer (several per week). Has anyone had their migraines improve with this diet. He's tried every medicine available without much luck. I think it's time to look at diet b

LC Pancake Syrup Suggestions??
Good Morning! I tried the Keto Cream Cheese Pancakes this morning (I made them one day last week and they were OK). I worked a little more on my technique and liked them better this morning. I would like a little syrup on them. Could someone suggest to me a brand they like? I think sugar-free food vary widely in their…

Net or Total Carbs?
Hi! I'm new here. Enjoy the threads I've been reading. I've gotten some great ideas. I know everyone is different but I'm still curious... are most people using net carbs or total carbs as their goal?

Am I understanding this right???
I am trying to lose weight. My calorie goal is 1.5 lb per week which I understand to be a 750cal deficit per day. If I wanted to eat at my "maintenance calories" for a day or two I could eat 750 calories more than what MFP currently says and theoretically not gain or lose (I know scale might show water weight)

Hi there - giving this a shot again
Popping in to say hello. Long story... I've always been at upper end of normal weight or slightly "overweight". I had 4 kids in under 5 years but successfully lost the weight with counting calories (~1400) and exercise (running). However, in 2008/9 I got injured (hip injury) and had surgery. My day to day hip pain is…

Calorie Goals
What does the book say about calories? I know it says "extreme" is 1200 on low carb days and 1500 on high carb days. But I can't remember what he says about "non extreme" guidelines.

Anybody home???
Hi everyone! I just started this technique a week ago. Hoping to shake things up. I also think reducing my carbs a bit will help me (I have PCOS)

Vacation - To log or not to log
I'm going to Disney for a week. I'm torn on whether to try to log my food or not. Either way - I'm going to try my best not to go "buck wild" with eating. What have you done in the past?

Step up Substitute
Kind of a weird quedtuon for such a straight forward exercise but let me explain. At my gym the steps and risers are kept in the aerobics room which is locked during non-business hours. So this morning early I'm at gym and darn it it's step up day. I tried using a lifting benchnut it's higher and padded and I reall pulled…

High Reps vs. Low Reps
I've heard high reps (working to failure) builds muscle and strength. Whereas, low reps builds muscle endurance. Both are important but different. Last month I started NROL4W and really enjoy it (its low reps high weight) hoping to build muscle. Yesterday, I did a Body Pump class which is lower weights and VERY high reps.…

Bootcamp
What do Bootcamp classes at the gym entail? Are they more cardio or strength or both??? I hope to see the instructor next week and talk to him, but in the meantime... help me out

Question Re: exercise on other days
Trying to figure out my exercise schedule... There is a class at my gym, Les Mills Body Pump, that I really like. I hate to "give it up". The class uses barbells and does total body workout with them. The barbells are light though - the bar itself weighs hardly anything and then the for squats I use 20-25bs. And we do TONS…

Two Gym Funnies
Two gym funnies (feel free to add your own)... First, I listen to my iphone while I workout. I also use it in my car. I have the Curious George Soundtrack on there for the kids (plus I love Jack Johnson too). Anyway, I was already to do my squats earlier this week and what song pops up - Curious George. I'm sorry but you…

OMG I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO sore!!!
I did S1, W1, B yesterday. I think it was the lunges. My butt and my quads are SCREAMING. Any suggestions? Lower weight. Work through pain tomorrow? Take an extra day of no lifting before I do my next workout? I started working them on my foam roller (massage thing) but OUCH!

Do I need a partner?
I haven't bought book yet but trying to get some more info to see if its right for me. I lifted in high school and college and always had a partner. Do you have to have a partner to do NROL4W?

Anyone had their shoulder scoped?
Hi I know I have some cartilage damage in my shoulder. Not sure if labrum or rotator is involved or not. Lots of grinding and catching some pain. I got an injection a few years ago and it really helped but dr. said I would probably need it scoped "down the road". I'm going to make an appointment for another injection but…

"Banking" exercise calories
First, I believe in eating back exercise calories. My question... say I exercise and burn 600 calories today. I eat good clean food but stay at my baseline calorie intake (~1300) TODAY. But tomorrow I cant' workout but have a dinner party tomorrow night. Could I eat my extra 600 calories tomorrow (so 1300 base + 600…

GG Bran Crispbread
Have you all tried these? I heard about them from Bob Harper and one of the Biggest Loser contestant's blogs. They are a cracker about the size of a graham cracker. They are very hard and crunchy. For you low-carb peeps, its is find to find anything crunchy that is low carb. They are very bran-y tasting - kind of like All…
