High Reps vs. Low Reps

I've heard high reps (working to failure) builds muscle and strength. Whereas, low reps builds muscle endurance. Both are important but different.
Last month I started NROL4W and really enjoy it (its low reps high weight) hoping to build muscle.
Yesterday, I did a Body Pump class which is lower weights and VERY high reps. Especially on biceps and triceps I worked til failure on both body parts. So other than a fantastic calorie burn and overall feeling of bad-assedness
, if I worked til failure with high reps and low weight - what did I accomplish building muscle endurance or strength or both ( )
Thanks y'all!
