The power of a positive attitude
Often times I've heard the saying that having a positive attitude can contribute to weight loss...you should picture yourself as being healthy and strong. Does anyone buy into this theory? I am just curious to see if anyone has had good results with this.

Atlanta Airport Food--Help!
We will have a 2 hr layover in Atlanta on Sunday evening. Is there anywhere to eat that sells "good" food? I mean tasty and nutritionally sound... We need to get something good to eat before boarding another long flight to California. We don't want to buy the junk food on the plane. Thanks!

Biggest Loser
I can't believe that Ron dodged another bullet! I feel bad for Nicole, but she did so well at home, it might be the best thing for her. I'm sure the others were crapping their pants when they saw her weight loss. At least she should get the $100,000 prize.

Going Cold Turkey
Does anyone LOVE leftover turkey? Turkey is great, but the stuff at the deli is loaded with sodium. I like to buy a turkey breast and roast it in the oven. Then I can have "cold turkey" anytime I please...and I can control the amount of sodium & preservatives I am eating. Why wait for Thanksgiving?

Biking Calories Burned
Wow! I just got a new HRM last week, and tried it out during a bicycle training workout. I'm averaging 700+ calories per hour. One nice thing is that the HRM also gives me the avg. HR during the workout. I'm keeping my HR at 150+, which is good for my age (54). It also motivates me to keep the pace up when I am getting…

HRM Question
Has anyone ever worn their HRM for 24 hours to see how many calories were burned during a full day? Right now at work I am averaging 145 cals per hour, which includes office work, walking around the plant, etc... Seems like I am burning an awful lot more cals than I thought.

Chatty Cathy At The Gym
Ever notice that there is always someone at the gym who would much rather talk than work out? There is a guy who is usually there during my noon workout who seeks out any who will listen to him. He will do about 5 minutes of exercise per hour (55 mins working his mouth). I want to be a nice guy, but he is driving me crazy!

After watching the Black Team pig out, I'm amazed that I am actually seeing any progress. I usually eat clean, but have a glass of red wine in the evening now and then. WOW...what an eye opener!

I'm new to this site. It's a great way to track my progress. My aim is fitness, not too concerned about the scale. My nutritional goal is to eat a fairly clean diet. My fitness goal is to lose body fat and gain lean muscle. My workouts include P90X at home, and cardio/ strength training at the gym.
