Things to do before you die
I admit: I'm list obsessed. So I'd like to make a "things to do before I die" list. I can't think of anything. (Well, "finish dissertation" but that's in the next two weeks and I'm hoping I have time to add to the list before my demise  ) So, out of idle curiousity (and a damn sight of putting off said…

An oldie returning to the wagon
Guess a few of you might recall me. I've been having a hell of a time lately so leapt very much off the wagon. But, I'm sick of looking and feeling the way I do. I've plonked myself back to almost my highest weight again, which isn't good at all. BUT, I know how supportive you guys are AND how much of a kick up the…

Eating out
Hi, I was just wondering... My uncle is coming down this weekend and he and my dad want us to all go to dinner. The problem is, there's no plan for WHERE to go, or even what type of restaurant to go to. I've tried, but to no avail- we're going to "play it by ear". So, I was wondering how many calories to leave for dinner?…

Couch to 5k calories?
Hey, I was wondering how people doing this calculate the calories for each stage of the program. I'm starting next week- terrified but excited too

treadmill or crosstrainer?
So, I'm looking at getting one or the other- which would you guys recommend? Considering I'll be looking at the lower end of the price scale (no more than £250, not sure what that is in dollars) and can't have anything that takes up vast amounts of room. I'd be looking at something like, but not necessarily identical to:…

how gutting!
We get a heck of a lot of junk mail down my street. Mostly true junk but today I got one for a free pass to our local gym. Now this is a NICE gym. I used to be a member but I couldn't keep affording the fees (£50/month is a LOT for a student) and I still hanker for it everytime I pass. So I was thrilled to see in nice bold…

Belly dancing
Hi; Does anyone know of any good belly dancing DVDs? I've tried looking for classes in my area but there are none. I'm looking more for a fun and different workout than looking good doing it- for now at least- so maybe something based more on actual dancing and full routines than perfecting techniques and individual moves.…

Supersize vs Superskinny
Does anyone watch this? I'm hooked. But my god, the girl on yesterday's programme... I'm halfway through watching and she's driving me up the wall!

changing taste?
I'm normally a total chocoholic. But after a few weeks off the stuff, I had a pack of malteasers today... or rather, one malteaser. Why one? Because it tasted... blah. Too sickly, too sweet. Very strange, as I normally love malteasers. There's nothing wrong in terms of my tastebuds- everything else tastes the same. I also…

should I include this?
I put down that I have a sedentary lifestyle. Should I then put into my exercise diary the five or so miles I walk per week (just to uni and work and such- normal walking, not powerwalking), or should I leave these out entirely?
