Fun Dressage video
Here's a link to an awesome video that Here4Cookies linked to me. It's an absolute blast - a Serious dressage rider not taking himself seriously. Hope people take time to watch it and enjoy it. :) http://www.horsecollaborative.com/brett-kiddings-thoughts-while-riding-his-first-grand-prix/

Another way to look at liquor
So, we've been doing some research on alcohol. Specifically liquors - everyone loves a good shot of bourbon or whiskey occasionally, right? Apparently, from everything I've been reading, there aren't just 3 types of calories - protein, carbs and fat - there are 4 types - with the fourth being alcohol. No, I really am not…

Any suggestions for a menu planning service/site?
My GF and I have been looking around trying to find a menu planning site or service. Between busy jobs and demanding hobbies, meal and menu planning is one of the most difficult things for us, and it's where we're most likely to fail. We've been looking around at various meal planning websites, but so far haven't been able…

New to horses and have questions
Just some quick background: I've been with my GF for 3.5 years. She's been riding off and on for almost 40 years, and in trying to encourage her to enjoy the hobby again, I somehow found myself caught up in it. I've ridden for a couple of years now but am still pretty green. However, since she loves it so much and I'm…

Anyone still play WoW?
I recently re-upped my WoW subscription because I miss playing. Sadly, I can't find much enthusiasm for grinding on my lvl 90s again. I'd like to re-roll on a new server and just have fun levelling up a lowbie. Would be nice to have someone - or someones - to chat with while I level up. So does anyone still play Wow fairly…

Liberty anyone?
Just thought I'd check to see if there's anyone in the group in the Liberty, MO area. Any takers?

GF discouraged by HRM calorie burns. Any advice?
My GF and I both recently restarted our journey to fitness - she finally found some sites that inspire her and help her to truly believe the goal is obtainable. We both use HRMs, and are trying to get used to tracking foods, exercising regularly and so on. Unfortunately, she struggles with our relative calorie burns during…

Dawn of War 2 on Steam anyone?
Does anyone happen to play DoW2 on steam? Have had the game for a bit, but just started playing it online on steam a couple of days ago. Be fun to have someone more regular to play with if anyone is interested.

Wow Guild on Lightbringer
Just wanted to give a heads up to people. I haven't been online much recently, but the MFP guild on Lightbringer (alliance side) is still going. I was actually planning on spending most of the day hanging out and doing some questing there. If anyone is interested, or wanting to hang out, feel free to join me. Guild name is…

WoW idea: occasional casual guild?
For the WoW players in here, what do you think of the idea of getting together on a new server and creating alts and a new Guild to hang out occasionally and chat? My thought was to pick a new server, and create a new guild that we could log into occasionally and chat about how our journey's are going, motivate each other,…

Too quiet.... so what do you do?
We all have those moments when you aren't in the mood for your regular hobbies (or regular games?), and things are too quiet and you want to do SOMETHING to keep from passing out from boredom. What do you do when that happens? Read a book? Watch a movie? Tickle someone?

Garalon
So, I spent about 55 minutes today working out - beating myself up with Tae Bo Boot Camp Basic training. Now we're beating ourselves up trying to kill Garalon. I'm a hunter, so one of the kiters. We keep coming sooo close, but keep having problems with the overall raid damage and getting our healing CDs timed right. grr.

Chili? Anyone?
Anyone have any good chili recipes? Looking for something that isn't TOO spicy (some spice is good, but I like my tastebuds right where they're at), non-vegitarian (I'm a carnivore), and Not turkey. Anyone?

back again
I was here before, but got burned out and stopped showing up for a few months. Time to get back on the wagon. I'm interested in a making a few MFP friends to help keep me accountable. Ideally I'd like to have active friends who have the time (and take the time) to keep in touch daily - a conversation, a comparison (hey,…

Anyone in KC still active?
Just curious to see if there's anyone else from the KC metro area still active on the forums.

Heart rate and HRM questions
Been using my HRM to track my cal burn for exercise to get as accurate a number as possible for my diary. I've run into a couple of questions that I'd appreciate some input on. 1: How high a heart rate is too high? I've got asthma and I don't sweat, and I remember a couple of months ago someone telling me to add 10 to the…

Looking for someone to help me push
Well, I'm trying it again, and this time I'm going to try and force myself to take it more seriously and avoid letting the excuses overcome my progress. I've been on MFP off and on since Feb, and I've made a bit of progress but I know I can do better - and encouragement always helps. I'd really enjoy a making a couple of…

Looking for beach Body info
A while back I saw someone posting that they were a Beach Body coach. At the time it really didn't mean anything to me, being a newbie and all. Now that I've been making progress and a bit more comfortable with what I'm doing, I've looked at the Beach Body website and see that they have several different programs for…

Anyone in RD-NC?
My GF and I live in Missouri, but we'll be taking a vacation trip to Ralleigh-Durham in late July for several days. Thought it might be fun to see if there are any people on MFP from the area to chat with, get some ideas of where to visit, and perhaps even get together for lunch/dinner and chat for a bit.

Not sure where else to ask
Not sure where else to ask this, but are there any groups geared towards late night people? Coz I'm wide awake and it'd be nice to have a group with people online to "chat" in. :)

Treadmill question
For those people that use a treadmill: When you're doing a workout that alternates between walking and jogging, how do you log it? Do you log the jog time and the walk time separately, or just average it out and post it as 1 total time? I'm trying to work my way through a routine that altenates walk and jog times, slowly…

How does Tae Bo rank?
Alright, to preface this, I'm a beginner. Don't have much in the way of endurance (ashamed to admit), plus I can't/don't sweat so I have to be careful not to overwork and overheat (and fall over). With all that in mind... My GF (bless her soul) found me a Tae Bo boot camp box set - 7 or 8 DVDs at progressively harder…

Working out twice?
I work 2nd shift, but try to hold down a relatively normal schedule - I get up at 9, eat, putz for a bit, workout (cardio right now - haven't added weight work yet), then try to get a few things done before work. I'm considering adding an occasional 2nd workout later at night when I get home from work, but I dunno whether…

Newbie question
I've got a newbie question and I HOPE I've posted it in the right place..... What are MACROs that I see people refering to occasionally? I keep trying to guess from the context, but I'm apparently getting it messed up, because sometimes it seems like the contexts are completely different. Could someone please edumacate me…

Question about an early calorie deficit
I work 2nd shift, so my schedule tends to be a bit odd. I try to get up around 9am, eat a light breakfast that runs around 200-220 calories (Oatmeal, low-sodium v8, some kinda fruit, a bit of coffee, and a Calcium/Vit-D chewable due to a vit-D deficiency that's plagued me for years). Give it an hour or so, then I work out.…
