Pleated Skirts for a Pear Shaped Body
I LOVE this outfit from New York & Co's fall line but I'm not sure how the pleated skirt would look on me being that I have a pear shaped body. I definitely carry most of my weight in my booty. Any thoughts??

Other Zombie Book/Movie/Video Game Suggestions
I'm a huge zombie movie/book fan. I've come across some really good stuff and some real stinkers. I really like the books Day by Day Armageddon Series by J.L. Bourne. He is an active duty marine that writes in his spare time. There are currently two books in the series and he's working on the third. I also liked Dead City…

David Morrissey cast as The Governor
I'm excited that the storyline of the Governor (and hopefully Michonne) is being introduced in season 3. I was really hoping they'd cast Tom Savini as a shout out to George A. Romero and because I think he could pull of the dirtbag vibe of the Governor. What do you think of the casting? Who would you have liked to seen…

Season 2 - Episode 10 - "18 Miles Out" (02/26/12)
If I didn't already want to strangle Lori, her whole "you're a woman maybe you should start helping us cook and clean" speech that she gave to Andrea made me want to smack her. Overall this was a really good episode.

Go Red for Heart Health tomorrow!!
Ladies and guys too!! Remember to wear red tomorrow. It's National Women's Heart Health Awareness day. This subject is very near and dear to my heart (pun intended). My mom at the age of 40 was told that her cholesterol was 420 (borderline high is 200) and that it was a miracle that she hadn't had a stroke or heart attack.…

What you don't want to hear....
I heard a story on NPR about a guy that had brain cancer. He wrote a book about things NOT to say to people who have serious/terminal illnesses. One of the things he said was he didn't like when people said "You look great" when his hair was falling out in clumps. It got me thinking what are some of the things that you…

If you wouldn't say it to me....
I want everyone to stop and think this the next time you want to speak negatively to yourself. Would I say that to one of MFP friends or my best friend why am I saying it to myself. If I gained three pounds would you call me fat? If I finished last at a 5K race would you tell me I'm a loser? Do you think it would help…

Clothing Exchange
Does anyone need a few pairs of size 16 work slacks? I've got three. One from JCPenney and two from New York and Company. I can't fit into them anymore and they are too big to have tailored down to the size I am now. I'd rather send them to someone here instead of giving them to a thrift store. Whoever wants just email me…

Healthy Carbs
On Saturday my mom and I will be going on an 8 mile snowshoe hike. The guide that is leading the hike suggested we bring lots of high carb food. Does anyone use Platypus water bottles?
I just saw these water bottles the last time that I was at REI. It's basically a soft plastic bottle (similar to the bladders from Camelbak backpacks) that you can roll up and store when it's empty. http://cascadedesigns.com/platypus/water-bottles/softbottle/product Does anyone use this type of water bottle? What are your…

iPhone 4 Armband
Has anyone found a good armband for the iPhone 4? I have one that barely fits my iPhone but works for what I need it right now. The most annoying thing with the one I use now is that when I sweat the armband soaks up the sweat and when I pull my phone out it's wet. I'd like to find one that is made specifically for the…

Update Diet/Fitness Profile
I'm not quite sure where to post this but I wanted to share. When I have a weight loss I always remember to change the number on my signature and on my profile and ALSO in my settings. Sandwich Help!!
I love mayo. Love it, love it, love it. Especially on sandwiches. I'd rather eat sand than a dry sandwich. I have really tried to use the lowfat mayo because the calories in regular mayo are ridiculous, but I just can't do it. I can't stand the taste. Does anyone have any good alternatives to use on sandwiches so they…

Trader Joe's
For a long time I've avoided the Natural Food aisle and grocery stores like Trader Joe's and Whole foods because of some misconceptions (I thought food would be too expensive, I thought I wouldn't like "natural" foods). Should I run a full 3 miles before my 5K?
I will be running my first 5K on Sunday. I'm excited and nervous. I plan on taking Saturday off from all work outs. My question is should I run a full 3 miles tomorrow or should I cut it back? I've never been a runner so I'm not sure what to do. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Carb Loading? Truth or Myth?
I am getting ready to run my first 5K. I've always seen that carb loading the night before is recommended. I've also seen just as much info saying it's unnecessary. Any advice?

Diet Soda Cake
When I was a WW member the leader gave us a recipe for a low calorie cake. One box of cake mix and one can of diet soda. Bake as usual. I've had a serious cake craving lately and my little 100 pack cupcakes are not cutting it. Has anyone tried it? What are your thoughts on it?
