What size meals do you eat, and when do you eat them?
I was having a hard time losing, then I started eating a medium breakfast, large lunch and small dinner. Actually noticed physical progress (lost 1.5 waist inches, and 2in off my hips!) as well as actual movement on the scale for once. I do an 8am breakfast, noon lunch and 7pm dinner, usually with a cup of cocoa as a…

How to deal with meds that make you gain weight
I'm on Cymbalta. Since getting onto a dose of 60mg, I've put on 20lbs. No other changes in diet and exercise. My doctor agrees it is most likely the meds. At 5'2 and 137, I'm just at overweight. I'm usually at 115-117. I want to get back down to there. I can't get off the meds. I'm not going back there- Cymbalta is the…

I try to keep to a little over 1300 calories a day as that is my BMR. I want to do this right so I can hold onto my results. Now, here's the thing. I weigh myself every morning…

Faux "cheat" foods?
Does anyone else have some foods that feel like cheating but aren't really? Mine are Swiss Miss diet Hot Cocoa (25 calories!) and meringues (110 calories and no fat for four cookies). Anyone else have stuff to add to the list?

Any other military SOs on here?
I'm trying to lose that last 15lbs, in part because my SO (who is active duty Army) is in incredible shape, and I not only want to look good for him but I want to be able to accompany him on his morning 2 mile run. Anyone else here who is in my boat of having an SO whose job partially entails them staying in shape?

Anyone else steam/sauna? And calories lost discussion?
Spent half an hour doing a hydro-derma fusion, which is basically half an hour in first a sauna and then hot, nutrient-filled steam. Saw immediate vanishing of cellulite, belly shrunk, and feeling great. Also (TMI) I've been crapping fantastically since then. So, here's my question. I know the immediate weight loss is from…

Has anyone else broken an abnormal number of bones?
I realized today that I've broken my collarbone, both arms (left one twice), fingers, all my toes more than once, right leg, ankle, jaw and nose 3 times.... way above the norm, haha. Anyone else in the same boat?

I am bloated and gassy due to too much garlic... help?
I'm at the point where it is physically painful. I've been like this since I went to bed last night. It hurts, and as I'm going to go see my guy tomorrow (he's on leave), I'd rather not be farting and sharting. Help?

Anyone know any exercises for good posture?
Specifically for pulling my shoulders back. I slump a bit because of how much I use my laptop, and I really want to be able to stand up straight all the time without thinking about it. So are there any exercises to improve my posture?

What did you cut down on that helped you the most?
For me, it was sugar intake. Even though I was eating at my recommended calorie intake, eating low-fat and low-carb, I was eating way too much sugar. As soon as I cut down on my (absurd) sugar intake, I started to have more energy and the pounds started to melt off!

The word "curvy" as a synonym for overweight
I see it again and again shopping for clothing, or discussing things on message boards. I'm constantly told that at 129lbs and 5'3, I cannot have curves. But I do, and I'm quite proud of them! When did the word curvy become a word for overweight?

My sister is getting on my last nerves [rant/needs advice]
My sister has always been difficult. When she was little, she had a lazy eye that caused her massive migraines, which meant my parents let her get away with anything. Now she's 14 and the worst human being I know. My parents got divorced this year, and she is he only one who sees it as some sort of "war". It was an…
