Polar Heart Rate Monitor Problems?
I have a Polar FT60 HRM. I have to send it back to Polar because it has a blank spot on the display. It's not even 1 1/2 years old, and I had this happen. Has this happened to anyone else? Did you send it in to be fixed? Was Polar good to deal with on the issues you've had with yours? Thanks in advance for your help.

Working out while on antibiotics?
I have a sinus infection. I'm taking antibiotics. Is it just better to lay off working out for six days or work out normally, or just stick to cardio? My trainer said that there was some old addage that if you're sick from the neck up, you shouldn't work out, but from the neck down is fine." Is this bovine scatology?

I have a tendency to eat more protein than is allowed for the day. A trainer told me this was fine. I've heard some amounts are too much--how much more than what is recommended is okay?

What meal supplement/nutritional bar do you like?
I've tried a couple of the meal replacement or nutritional bars out there, like Quest and Promax. They either taste like monkey dung or they're so high in fat or sugar I might as well eat a couple Snickers bars--hopefully not after deep frying them. What nutritional bar do you like? Calories burned lower, fat burn higher? Freak of nature?

Easiest HRM to operate? You tell me!
I want to buy my BF a heart rate monitor, but he's pretty much mechanically disinclined. I know he wouldn't like the Polar I use because there are too many buttons. Does anyone have a recommendation on a very easy HRM to use?

iPhone and Workout Apps: which one?
