Polar Heart Rate Monitor Problems?

I have a Polar FT60 HRM. I have to send it back to Polar because it has a blank spot on the display. It's not even 1 1/2 years old, and I had this happen.

Has this happened to anyone else? Did you send it in to be fixed? Was Polar good to deal with on the issues you've had with yours?
