Anyone still playing DDR for exercise?
I've been playing Dance Dance Revolution on and off for a few years. I started out in a dark corner of an arcade inside a bowling alley, but after I realized I was feeding the machine enough quarters to pay for two gym memberships, I bought a foam pad to use at home on my PC with StepMania. I had to give it up for a little…

Lemon-pepper Tuna salad with Greek Yogurt (instead of mayo)
I grew up on tuna sandwiches drenched in mayo, and after I started my weight loss journey, I pretty much stopped eating canned tuna because I thought that there was no way to make it healthy and tasty without mayo I came up with a recipe that I LOVE more than the old glob of mayo: 1 can chunk light tuna in water (drained)…

My scale was broken!!!
I started Insanity on July 13th, and took my initial weight at 186.2. I was pretty devastated because I had gained 8lbs since I stopped tracking my calories a few months ago. Since a lot of people say that the weight loss in the first few weeks of Insanity is unpredictable, I decided that I would avoid the scale until the…

Insanity: Substitute workouts, or count it as an 'off day'
I started Insanity a little over a week ago, and I also play indoor soccer on Thursdays. I'd definitely put the intensity and amount of movement I do on the field on-par with Insanity. The calorie burn is definitely about the same. In fact, I'm more sore from my game last night than I have been from insanity over the last…

Any soccer players?
I'm looking for more soccer-playing friends to share accomplishments with :) Please make a note saying "soccer player" if you send me a friend request! I played soccer when I was a kid, but ended up quitting in high school because there was only a varsity team-- which accepted me as a freshman, but kept me on the bench.…

NSV - I used to wear these?
Sorry... No pictures. But while I was sorting laundry today, I noticed a pair of shorts that I haven't worn in a few months. They were always a tiny bit too big (I got into the habit of buying clothes slightly big just in case I had to grow into them), but these shorts were a size 16, and were so huge that I couldn't even…

Not new, but looking for friends :)
...Specifically for friends with similar interests and goals. I get friend requests, but I only have a few people that I feel I really connect with. Anyway, a bit about me: I'm Anna :) I'm 25 years old, 5'4", and my top weight was 196lbs. I'm currently 180lbs, and my goal weight is 140lbs, but I wouldn't mind getting down…

GAH! I've resisted not posting this since the first day I started reading the forums! You lose weight Your pants get loose Lose Loss Lost THEY ALL HAVE ONE "O," get it?! If you still think that you "loose" weight, you're going to look like a loser. PS: English sucks, but you don't have to suck at it.

The two little NSVs that my day
I've seen a pretty big scale victory since getting serious about my health in June/July, which is great, but there are two little victories that made me absolutely giddy. 1. I've been struggling with acne since I was, like, 10. I hit puberty in elementary school, and the crazy, out of balance hormones have plagued me since…

HRM without a watch?
I was wondering if anyone knows of any decent HRMs that either don't have a watch or can connect the watch to the strap itself. I really want to start using one while I'm playing soccer, but most leagues don't allow any type of watches or jewelry while playing. I've seen referees even tell people to take off their power…

Pre-game Jitters
Anyone else get in some exercise by playing team sports? I play 5v5 indoor co-ed soccer on Thursday nights with my boyfriend. I love the game, but I'm about an hour and a half out from kick-off, and I start getting jitters at around this time. I haven't really found any good ways of getting rid of them until I'm actually…

Favorite meal replacement shakes?
Hi all, I've gotten into the habit of having a meal replacement shake for breakfast because I don't like sitting down for breakfast at home in the morning, and taking a shake with me keeps me away from fast food on the way to work. I used to drink Slimfast, but I just can't do those anymore. I never liked them. I've tried…

MFP recommended calories lower than my BMR?
Out of curiousity, I used the BMR tool here on the website. It's saying that at age 24, 5'4" and 185lbs, my BMR is 1,574. But when I set my goal to lose 1lb per week, it gives me a 1470 calorie limit, and starts to warn me about starving myself if I don't eat 1200 calories. I actually have such an easy time staying under…
