Ronda Rousey
I think she looks absolutely gorgeous in these photos. I mean, that's not the look I'm trying to achieve, but if I did, by some miracle, I wouldn't argue with it! She looks strong, yet feminine, and I love that look. They are a little revealing, and I'm not a fan of the waxing of everything, but she is undeniably…

Skipping meals
It's almost Friday so I thought I would have a little fun and post a question. I may regret it later... I had a bag of microwave popcorn and a donut from Duck's Donuts before I left work. (Well, half of a chocolate iced, and half of a maple bacon donut.) So now I am skipping dinner. Perfectly fine, or bad idea? I'm at…

How much does diet and meal timing really matter?
There is a girl at my work (she's probably in her mid 30s-early 40s) that does figure competitions, and she is prepping for a contest right now. She said that she eats 7 times a days, with lean protein, and a small amount of carbs at each meal. She swears that it increases her metabolism. She already looks great, and is…

Avoiding mindless snacking
What are your best methods to avoid eating out of boredom while at work? I work in an office where I am kind of tied to my desk, and late afternoon is when I usually get bored, and start wanting to munch, even though I'm not hungry. I also usually work 12 hour shifts, so I am stuck here until 7pm. Help!

Calories?
Do you count calories on your LCHF diet? Do you feel it has affected your weight loss, or does it matter? I'm also curious as to how long it took any of you to get into ketosis? How many carbs did you eat per day? Did you exercise, and did it speed up the process? I am just starting and I have a lot of questions! Thanks! :)

Question about cooked beef
Tonight I ate some of the delicious grass-fed Kobe beef I got from Organic Depot. It has a very high fat content (about 76%), so I drained it well with several paper towels before eating. My question is, should I log it as on the package, which I assume is the raw amount for 4 oz, or is it more accurate to log it cooked?…

Exercise, or hitting calorie goal?
I seem to have a problem doing both. On days I don't exercise, I have no problem staying within my 1600 cal limit. But when I workout, I usually end up eating back all my exercise calories, and then some. What the heck am I doing wrong? Should I just give up working out in order to keep my calories in check? Am I going to…

Excess skin weight loss video
I wanted to post this for anyone who had not seen it, and who may be struggling with their own body insecurities. I really feel for this young man, but he has a warm smile and a bright spirit. THIS is a courageous person. youtube.com/watch?v=CpKDteQ3FIQ

I would really like to see the ticker move right soon...
I have been stuck at just under 20lbs lost for at least a month. Or, it seems like a month... I'd really like get back on track and go beyond that. I am so close to so many milestones...losing 20 lbs...being under 200 lbs...no longer being "obese." I seem to get stuck in this area often, last time I was just a few lbs shy…

Help! Cooked pasta
If you weigh cooked pasta, how do you enter it in your food tracker? The only entries I ever see are for dry pasta, usually 2 oz. How much is that cooked? I know that measuring cooked by the cup is very inaccurate. I cook a batch of pasta at once, so I can't measure one portion out and cook it by itself. I can't figure…

GMOs Scary or not?
I'm curious as to what some of you think about genetically modified seeds and foods? Are they harmful or benign? Or do we not have enough information at this point to decide? Do you think they should be labeled? Do people have a right to know, or is it unnecessary, or even harmful? Click the link below to see the latest…

"You Did Not Eat That"
Much of this article rang true for me. The double standards, the food-shaming, the praising of putting little to no effort into maintaining a healthy body and weight. What do you think? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/06/27/you-did-not-eat-that-reality-weight-loss-television_n_5520413.html?m=true

Combating post-workout muscle soreness
Any suggestions on what to do about post-strength training muscle soreness? It seems I am highly prone to soreness when I start doing more strength exercises, or change my routine at all. Yesterday I did 3 sets of squats during my circuit with no added weight, and today just walking is torture! I have tried taking Aleve…

How many calories in whipped cream?
I like to use a little Reddi-whip real whipped cream on my chocolate pudding, or sometimes in my coffee. The package says there are 15 calories per tablespoon and 37!! servings per canister. That is a lot of servings, so I know I use more than one serving at a time, but how the heck do you measure a tablespoon of something…

How many calories do I really burn?
Everyone says that MFP and machines greatly overestimate your calorie burn. So, how do you find out how many calories you are actually burning through exercise without an HRM? I know it will never be exact, but do any sites give a better approximation? I won't be buying an HRM any time soon. Last time I did, it cost me…

GABA Supplement
I'd like to know if anyone else has taken this and what has your experience been? It's supposed to help in the production of HGH. I've been taking it daily for about a week now, and I have noticed some interesting effects. I don't get SOB or a racing heart, but I do notice a warm/fuzzy/tingling sensation all over my body…

Hitting your calorie goals
I started cutting back on simple carbs and most starchy foods, and I am having a lot of trouble hitting my calorie goal, especially if I work out, which I try to 6 days a week. Yesterday I ate 3 lbs of crab legs and was still 300 cal under my goal. Today I was 700 under. I just am not hungry and can't seem to eat more…

Help! Calories in an avocado
I've been trying to be more accurate with my calorie counts lately so I have been weighing everything before I eat it. I recently bought a bag of avocados and weigh each one whole before slicing it or mashing it up into guacamole. My problem is, how do i translate that weight into an accurate calorie count? The fruits…
