Much of this article rang true for me. The double standards, the food-shaming, the praising of putting little to no effort into maintaining a healthy body and weight. What do you think?

The food shaming is horrible as you say.
But I disagree that celebrities put no effort into looking good. They put effort into making it look effortless.

People like Kate Upton as well as actors and musicians do put a lot of effort into eating little. Being thin is their job and they get paid a lot for it. They have teams of people taking care of them -- trainers, nannies for their children, people helping them shop to look good in their clothes, drs giving them tummy tucks after delivery, . . . . We cannot compare our selves to them. We are in different worlds.
Those weight loss shows are disgusting. I do not watch them --- mostly because not one moment of them is "real."
Television is scripted, directed, edited, . .. .
