Cheese fat % (m.f. / moisture content, what..?)
I'm really a noob when it comes to these things but I get fresh cheese from my deli and on the package it says "13% M.F. 50% moisture" So I'm assuming this is pretty low-fat, and contains around 13g of fat per 100g of cheese? Is that what this means or am I completely off  I'm trying to approximate its calories etc…

Skinless boneless chicken breasts baked plain calories?
Sorry this is annoying and repetitive but it bothers me because I can't find the "right" answer for months now. I bake my skinless, boneless chicken breasts plain (no oil or butter, trimmed and beat thin), with just some sour cream on top (pretty much omit the calories from the sour cream it's like 10 cal a breast) How…

Does boxed Mac & Cheese dry nutrition include the cheese?
Quite possibly a stupid question as always but, does the "dry mix" nutrition include the sacket of cheese? Or do they only add it into the prepared nutrition?

Eating in moderation or low calorie in huge quantities?
everyone seems to be different, but i'm definitely one of those people who look for items that are the lowest calorie possible options just so i can have a serving of 4, 12, whatever, all for myself. is anyone else like this, or do you prefer eating the 'real thing' in small portions/moderation? i guess im a…

How to make oatmeal not stick to the pot?
Odd question, but I usually make my oats in the microwave, but I've been reading about how it's more *magical* to cook them on the stovetop.. The only time I've tried to cook them on the stove it ended up sticking everywhere and it felt like I lost half of my breakfast  Does anyone have good recommendations on how to…

Weighing food fast/slow = fluctuations?
This is probably a really stupid question so I'm sorry in advance But when I weigh my food, for example oatmeal, if I set the scale to zero and pour it in slowly it'll give me a number (let's say 40g). If I take that oatmeal out, set the scale to zero etc. but dump it in all at once at a faster rate it gives me an extra…

Best 'Form' of Nut to use for Homemade Nut Butter?
I'm planning on buying some almonds in bulk to make my own nut butter. Every recipe I've seen so far calls for raw, unsalted whole almonds (roasted or non, im planning to roast). I was wondering if there would be a difference if I were to use sliced or slivered almonds? Just curious!

White meat suggestions?
I've always been pretty picky with meat. I never enjoyed beef or steak or any red meat. Dark meat is okay but I always prefer white for whatever reason. I have chicken breasts basically every week and although I love it and will continue to eat it, I need to somehow add in more options. I've been looking into maybe trying…

Better'n Peanut Butter or Peanut Flour in Canada?
Hihi, I've been trying to find Better'n Peanut Butter or just some plain peanut flour in Canada and can only find it online (I'd rather not ship or buy online etc).. Does anyone know any stores that carry these products? (I live in Toronto, ON).

Shrimp nutrition facts mislabelled..?
I have a bag of frozen deveined, tail-off cooked shrimp that says it weighs 340g. On the bag it says per 100g of shrimp, there's 50 calories. Everywhere I look online says that 100g is at least ~100 calories.. I know it may not seem like a huge difference but it just confuses me what I should be believing and logging

One-A-Day Weight Smart Multivitamins
Has anyone used these? Any comments/complaints etc? I picked up a pack today, needed to boost my calcium and iron. Kind of just hoping it won't make me gain weight for some strange reason. I don't care much at all if it won't make me lose

Should I worry about my carb intake
MFP suggests 165g for me but I'm always over my protein and extremely under my fat, I hesitate when I get to around 100g carbs because of all the rumors of low carb diets etc... I'm also sedentary and don't work out so I don't know, should I really just look at my calorie deficit and not worry about the macros? (This is a…

Where to buy PB2 in Canada?
I'd really rather not buy it online, but if there's really a 0% chance of buying it in stores I guess I'll have to... I live in Toronto and have been to local health food stores and couldn't find it, haven't had any luck at Walmarts, and I'm thinking of going to Whole Foods tomorrow or Low Carb Canada. Anybody have any…

Did I burn enough calories to keep me 'safe'?
Normally I wouldn't care about how many calories I burnt, but I was a huge nibbler today because I was catering, and I've deprived myself of sweets for ages and I couldn't take it anymore *-*. Not like I had a whole cake or something, just a few cookies here and there and a lot of appetizers, plus my breakfast/lunch. But…

Low Calorie Banana Muffins
Lowest calorie I could ever really find and make for muffins. Of course you can play around with the recipe however you like, but I make these for my family almost every week and they go really fast! Such a guilt-free snack for me. I also make these in thought of my diabetic and overweight father since he loves sweets and…

Best fish for diet/weight loss?
I personally love salmon and of course it's one of the most recommended foods on diets etc. Some sites have recommended cod fish so I'll probably get it and bake it. Any other fish recommendations for a low-calorie diet?

How much/what did you eat before your diet?
I practically laugh at myself when I remember the days before I was serious about losing weight. Personally, I had apple pie, cookies, ice cream, pizza, burgers, etc EVERY day and really had no problem with eating it all in ONE day if I felt like it. I can barely eat vegetables without feeling bloated now, and it's just…

Problems with boosting metabolism/calorie intake
I know I'll probably get bashed on for this, but I can admit to my own fault that I was definitely under eating and starving my body in order to lose a few pounds. I ate around 500-600 calories a day and thought it was enough, felt full etc. Now I'm having an extremely hard time trying to eat more in order to boost my…
