Treatment Options
Ok, I'm getting into a heavy topic for a Friday afternoon but hear me out maybe? Also, I know this isn't directly related to food but I've got very few people to turn to for opinions. I've been battling anxiety and depression since 2011 and right now, I am near the lowest point I've ever been. I can either 1) not get out…

Is he/she interested?
Interested to see the response to this: 1. When/how do YOU know a guy/girl is interested in romance (or sex)? 2. What do YOU do when you are romantically/sexually interested in another person?

Dealing with Co-Workers Concerns
I know the topic of others reacting negatively to your weight loss/ fitness journey is a regular one on MFP, but I'd like everyone's input on this situation: My co-workers (and some of them are good friends) and my boss are starting to make inappropriate comments about my weight loss. I'm at a loss as to why it went from…

That moment when
you are now a small enough size where you want to buy all the cute outfits in the world, but you don't because workout gear is now a priority: Me +30lbs = I can't buy that dress, I'd look ridiculous. Me -30lbs = I can't buy that dress, I need new running shoes. WHAT?????!!!

Quick success story
June 2013 I topped out at 155. For my height, that is the low end range for overweight. I felt terrible having to buy new pants in size 14. Started exercising and then joined MFP in August 2013. Joining this website allowed me to learn how to eat in a healthy way, giving my body fuel. I went from being exhausted walking…

Core workout advice
So I can run a 5k with a 10 minute mile and I’m working towards my 10k race in five weeks. Everything is fine and dandy with the running, I’m making progress with the distance and time. However, I am noticing that my form gets terrible most days after a few miles. A friend recommended working out my core, but here is the…

Small Success
A friend that I hadn't seen since spring stopped me in the hallway at work and quietly asked "Have you lost weight?" I got so excited but calmly replied "Yes, yes I have." And he basically congratulated me and said I look awesome and healthy! It's the first time someone mentioned the loss! :] Horray!

Finally
Men I knew from years back are starting to text me asking for “noods” I believe this means I have achieved Level 0.5 Hotness: Almost there.

Juicing: maintainable or no?
LONG VERSION: First of all I am not asking for myself, but for my brother. Poor guy gained nearly 80 lbs in the past few years and is really desperate to get rid of the weight. But, he is so clueless when it comes to eating right. He is doing this c-r-a-z-y juicing diet for 60 days where he has two meals juiced and the…

How to celebrate weightloss/ fitness milestones
Hey everyone! Just curious to see what you all do to celebrate your weight loss/fitness "milestones." What is your FAVORITE thing to do after you beat your last race time or drop another set of pounds? My plan is to get a sports massage after I complete my first 10k. :]

Cookie in a Cup
Had some people ask me about this mysterious “Cookie in a cup” recipe I have on my food diary every other day. It’s the perfect amount of sweetness I NEED a couple times a week, and instead of an entire box of cookies this is a great alternative single serving size. :] Well…figured I’d share. Regular Cookie in a cup:…

Just curious…
How many of your exercise calories do you eat back? I always eat my BMR calories but I work out, at least a little bit, every day. How many of those exercise calories is it better to eat? I eat SOME of them, not definitly not all of them. Hypothetically you could eat them all, right? Honestly, I have no clue. But is there…

Small Success
I am currently training for a 5k by using the C25K app and I have to share this little story. The last time I ran a full mile was 5 years ago during my first year of high school, and I about collapsed afterwards. I was never in very good shape, just not very athletic/competitive. By no means am I a runner!!! But yesterday…

Locker Room Awkwardness
Not sure if anyone else has had to go through this, but I work out in the early mornings at my universities gym. So before class, I shower. And that means these open, military style, showers with skinny little fit girls trotting around like it ain't no thing to be naked. But then again, there are 60+ ladies flopping around…

Blisters and Running
Here I am, training for my 5k and suddenly BAM a blister pops up while wearing casual shoes (just walking around my office caused this blister!!???) So, how do you guys deal with blisters while running? I really hate taking too many days off (crankiness and whatnot). I've used moleskin today and it worked semi-decently,…

Bathing suits
Ok, so I'm sure there has been topics like this in the past but I'm a newbie so here it goes. Next weekend is the annual beach trip I go on with the ladies in my family. It's two days of sunshine and surf (not to mention drinks, rich food, and various other unhealthy things.) The thing is that I have never had a "beach…

Working up to running a full mile
So, I've been on training for a 5k at the end of september (also a 10k at the end of october) for two weeks now and the longest I can run before my calfs or lungs stopping me is 0.8 miles. I'm 23, 5'6'' and 142 lbs. (female if that isn't obvious) I haven't been able to run a full mile since high school (for shame) but I am…

Training!
Hey everyone! A friend recently talked me into signing up for a 5 & 10k race when at the moment I can't even run a full mile without my calfs screaming at me to stop at 0.8 miles. I've been using this website now for a week and I've found it really helpul. Even my diet restrictions due to being gluten intolerant are kept…
