Trying to figure out if I have the right calorie goals
Because I am somewhat sedentary most of the day, I set MFP to that. But, defining what "sedentary" is actually, I'm still not sure. I have a calorie goal of 1200/day, but I am now walking (brisk) 2 hours/day and MFP gives me more calories to consume. I am in no hurry to drop the extra pounds. I ate up to 1500 yesterday…

If 3 oz is 220 calories, what would 4 oz be?
I used a La Brea Torte sandwich roll and the package says 3 ounces @ 220 calories. I weighed it and it's actually 4 ounces. So thankful for my scale. My brain is butter and I can't do this equation. Any help would be appreciated.

Weighing, measuring and logging Everything!
The more I read on the forums, the better I'm getting at this. What a difference than when before I started here. I never realized all of the calories that I was not logging. Spices and cooking spray etc. Close to 100 calories I normally did not log. This is todays meal (pre-logged). I usually prepare a large meal, log it…

Fish - Tuna, white, canned in water, drained solids
I am trying to use what's in the Mfp database for calories, before I search the internet. I have a can that weighs 8 ounces (weighed while still in can, will weigh out of can when I am ready to prepare it), but it does not have a label. It's been torn off. It says on the metal part of the can itself that it's Albacore, so…

New to this section of the forums: learning 2 Lift
I just thought i'd take a peek in this forum and want to say I lifted for the first time today. I've been walking like crazy and loving the "burn" and just the overall "feel good" from exerting my body. I've read posts on one of the other forums of some saying "Lift heavy things" and I finally got it in me to do it. I…

Fine tuning my food logging.. Frozen Salmon
I did a google search and this seams to be correct, but not sure. Says: 4 oz frozen salmon is 100 calories. So I chose a generic entry in the log that matched that. Is that pretty accurate? Thanks in advance, happy logging to all:)

Mini Sucsess Pt 2
I first started logging at MFP 12 days ago, but did not weigh till a few days in. I thought originally I was 160 pounds, but really was 163. Then within the following week, I lost 3 pounds. As Of this morning, 159! I am just so happy that it's working. I am totally, extra inspired for today:) I'm just giddy!

My 913 calorie dinner:)
This took me all day to figure the calories, weighing, looking up individual calories..etc, but worth it. I even challenged myself to cut and add till i was just at my complete calories for the day. I am posting and then going to enjoy my achievement:) Chicken breast, my veggie mix, 8oz potato, w/ 2 tbs sour cream! The…

Coffee has calories?
I was not logging my coffee, but started today. I had no idea there were 4 calories per 8 ounce cup. I'm limiting my coffee now anyway. Yeah, 3 to 4 cups/day is less than I was drinking:)

Mini success!
I hope mini successes count (sure they do). I am on day six since I signed back up (but actually started 5 days ago). I just weighed this morning (after a large cup of coffee) and I'm down 2 pounds! I have been very good at sticking around 1200 calories and exercising (step aerobics) for 4 solid days. Today will be my…

Mini success again..
I started 7 days ago, logged in 8 days ago. I finally got the courage to weigh myself a couple of days in and was 163. About 4 days in 161 and as of this morning, I am down 160. I am feeling inspired. I have not been eating back my calories, but loading up on lots of veggie and some lean meat. Yesterday I decided since I…

Hello
I started this journey on MFP last year for about a month. I was not too over weight at the time. I lost close to what I wanted and got married. The marriage started to get rough after 3 months and I got depressed. I began to eat uncontrollably over the holidays and went from 138 (aprox) to 163 (present). I started again…
