If 3 oz is 220 calories, what would 4 oz be?

I used a La Brea Torte sandwich roll and the package says 3 ounces @ 220 calories. I weighed it and it's actually 4 ounces. So thankful for my scale.

My brain is butter and I can't do this equation. Any help would be appreciated.

divide 220 by 3 to get the weight of 1 ounce. add that result back to 220 and then you'll have the calories for 4 ounces. you can also input 1.333 servings into your food diary. mfp will do the math for you.

Came out to be 73.333 more calories. Glad I weighed it. I still ate it. I know I needed it, but still without the scale, I would have gone by what was on the package. Thanks again!

Just divide 4/3 to give you a serving size of 1.33 when entering it in your diary. Much simpler than the method posted above :/

    4 oz = a new primary education?

Here in The US public education system, ratios and how to cross multiply are typically taught in the 6th grade.

    4 x 220 ÷ 3 = 293.33

    EDIT - Typing is hard

I saw it just before you edited it. Was going to high light that you talked about 6th grade but then gave a formula that equaled 165

I got straight A's in college math, but that's because it was all I focused on and nothing else. I actually suck at it. Give's me a headache  293 is the number I got. How I ever did this without a scale I don't know. Thank you!

Thank's all for the help. I was very lethargic today and ate back some of my exercise calories with that torte roll and then did another 45 minute walk! Food is definitely fuel and I am starting to learn. Ya'll rock!

That's how much I needed the extra fuel. Starvation could make me stupid as sin. I entered 1.333 and got it  The extra jazzed up my night workout as well. I love energy!
