I turn 50 today. I didn't make my scale goal but I don't care! I feel great, look better, and continue daily to take care of my health. OMG! That is my goal! Life is good! The scale victory will happen--just not today! HAVE A SWEET VALENTINES DAY! And HAPPY WEDDING DAY to my oldest DAUGHTER!

Mis-lead or Mis-read LABEL ALERT
I watch lables closely, but I think I was mislead this morning. :( I made hot cereal according to the directions on the box. Then, I went to log the calories and found that it was 190 calories per 1/3 cup and I THINK it made about a cup! 570 calories OUCH! I guess I won't have much for lunch!

Greek yogurt -something I usually don't buy
I tried Greek Yogurt this morning- Almond Cream. Blended with OJ, banana, and ice. Yummy. Now a question- though- I'm thinking of trying a protein powder., but I've never used those before. I assume I could add that to my smoothie. Any suggestions of kind and what else you can use those with?

I lost a month.
Good and bad. I'm back to where I was a month ago-I had probably gained 2-3 pounds. I guess that's a good thing, but a bummer that I lost a month. Now back at it again! Thankful for NSV
I just finished 50 minutes of exercise that no one told me I had to do. I am thankful and proud of myself for hanging in there with MFP for 9 months now. If I have a bad day, I have managed to not give up. I have also managed to enjoy exercising and I kept going through some minor leg injuries. I appreciate everyones posts…

30DS-circuit training- cardio questions...
Do you tend to lose inches, weight or both when doing an exercise like 30DS or circuit training? I'm thinking when I do more straight cardio, I might see a bit more weight loss. Does that seem true? Excersice question
When your body is used to harder or more intense workouts, do you get any benefits from a slow walk? I walked with my Mom yesterday for 40 minutes at a slower pace, which I logged, but it just didn't seem like i was getting a workout. What do you think?

Re-evaluate goals
How often or do you re-evaluate goals? I had dropped my calorie to 1100 for awhile, but I've nudged that back up a bit to 1150 (MFP recommended 1200) And since I'm watching carbs, I brought that down some too. Slow progress
I feel like my progress is so slow compared to others. I am eating a few things that are not healthy, but I feel like I'm doing that in moderation. I stay within my calorie level and exercise 4 times per week. so when I have a treat like a cookie with coffee or a couple beers on the weekend, or a dish of ice scream…

One pound at a time and I try to loose one pound a week. Seems like when I look at longer term goals, I tend to cheat more. Anyone else like that?

Once again- .5 loss. Sometimes it's hard to be patient and I usually have a positive attitude. Self- it's better to loose slow so it will stay off and at least your loosing. JUST SAYING. MFP Family- Any other self motivators would be welcome!

balancing exercise calories and carbs
My Dr. wants me to watch carbs since she considers me pre-diabetic. I have my calories set at 1100. My question is- once I work out tonight I'll gain back some calories, but how does that effect the carbs? thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I typically exercise at night and my calorie goal is at 1200. Im usually close to 1200 cal after i eat dinner and then i exercise after i eat that meal, which adds 2-300 calorie deficit. I find that once I exercise I feel I need to eat part of those calories back. I have been averaging a 1 pound loss per week, which I'm ok…
