Calorie question and pm workouts

I typically exercise at night and my calorie goal is at 1200. Im usually close to 1200 cal after i eat dinner and then i exercise after i eat that meal, which adds 2-300 calorie deficit. I find that once I exercise I feel I need to eat part of those calories back. I have been averaging a 1 pound loss per week, which I'm ok with, but I'm curious if I should increase calories on my earlier meals, so I don't have to eat later in the evening? I would appreciate any thoughts anyone has...

It's up to you, really. I generally save some calories after my workouts for a post-workout recovery meal. Depending on the routine, I generally burn between 350 - 650 calories, and I work out at night as well. On the higher burn days, I'll attempt to eat a little more earlier in the day to compensate for half the burn I'm going to put out. But if you're having trouble filling in those calories after the workout, then it wouldn't hurt to eat a bit more during the day prior to a night burn.

If you want to get closer to your net calorie goal, then I would try to even out the calorie intake throughout the day. That's what I've been trying to do. I try to make each meal close to the same amount of calories.

I'm having the same issues! I feel like I'm eating all day, then after my workout I end up with a huge deficit. Anyone have any quick snack/meal suggestions that'll help?

I always like to have an after dinner nightime snack . so for me I specifically budget calories for this. I say do what works best for you!
