Ankle Weights
I think I have 2 x 2.5kg ones at home somewhere. If I just strapped these on under my jeans and walked around all day do you reckon it would be worth it? Anyone else use them? I imagine they would be great for leg raises and other abdominal exercises that use the legs, but I'm just talking about walking

Hi guys, Has anyone had any experience with these? http://www.highfive.co.uk/zero_INT.php My friend recommended me them. Cyclist commuters! Help!
How do you do it?! Not literally, I'm aware it is sit on saddle, rotate feet, steer and occasionally swear at cars and commuters that don't look before stepping onto the road. I'm sure for some reading this it's possibly not even a choice as there may not be other means of transport. But I have other means, and those other…

UK bike riders. Join me in this madness!!!
So.... I was reading a book called 'Obsessive Compulsive Cycling Disorder' by a very funny cyclist called Dave Barter. And I came to a chapter called... "The Dunwich Dynamo". This is a ride (NOT a race) through the night from London to Dunwich (120 miles). It is a turn up and go, no entry fee or anything ride. And all…

So, just 13 days left, anyone looking at starting a fresh, I was just wodnering who's waiting till then before really kicking it? Dumbells for P90x
So I just bought some dumbells for P90x, I have been using the resistance bands but I really find them quite restrictive. Im an average sort of strength guy, do you think these weights will be enough? I guess since they are 20kg's the most i can hope for is 10kg in each arm. Right now I can't even think how much that even…

Hit my mini goal early
So I started this all about 215 lbs, and set a mini goal as sub 210 by end of august. I smashed it and got 209 by 18th august. I've been invited to LA for middle of November for a wedding, so long way to come from England. But I was thinking what a great motivator, try and get my beach bod in 3 months. Fingers crossed,…

My ticker is finally moving!!
So after setting up my initial goal months ago, maybe even a year ago, I think I set my starting weight as 212lbs, just almost instantly I gained weight and found it hard to lose any less than 212, so my ticker never really moved, but it is now, 4lbs lost! I am a happy bunny!

Camping festivals ahead, advice needed!
I'm in a rut, I'm in a really positive mood to eat right and work out and it's rare that it happens so I want to take full advantage of it. However as some of you might know I do fire performing/juggling etc as a bit of fun on the side and I have two trips coming up, one 5 days camping in Wales starting tomorrow and…

'IF' An inspirational poem
Here's a poem that was read at a funeral of a friend today, I thought it was pretty inspirational and so thought I would share it with you guys. IF If you think you are beaten, you are. If you think you dare not, you don't. If you'd like to win, but think you can't, It's almost certain you won't. If you think you'll lose,…

Pull ups - Resistance bands or chair assist?
Hi I'm starting my second week of P90x and I have just got some resistance bands, I have some dumbells but didn't want to keep changing the weight. Anyway my question is: I can't do a pull up, therefore would it be better if I did chair assisted ones (I feel my legs help me out bit too much though) or should I use the…

What if they are wrong about a calorie?
Hi Something that has kind of been buzzing around my head, a calorie. Yes it is a scientific measurement of which I imagine there has been quite a bit of research about. However I occasionally wonder, what if they are wrong? Or even slightly off? Say a 200cal pack of crisps, I know that is an average, but is there anyway…
