Looking for friends - Fitbit User on reset
Hi everyone! I'm currently on week 2 of a reset - I decided to start one has I was fed up of plateauing at around 137-139lbs since August 2012 and feeling so hungry eating at a 250 cal deficit (a net of a mere 1400 for me as I'm 5ft 2) resulting in me either overeating by up to 1000 calories some days, or just about…

4 Stone lost (56lbs), 5 dress sizes and a nomination
I'm so incredibly happy today for a number of reasons. I'm so happy in fact that I would like to shout from a mountain top... but there are no mountains nearby so here seems a good alternative. I've been on this site for over 431 days now and I've gone from obese to petite! Literally. I started out in May 2011, weighing…

Help a student with her uni research project?
Hello lovely MFPs  I'm a third year political sociology student currently working on my dissertation (shame that doesn't burn calories!) At the bottom of this post is a link to my very quick anonymous survey. All it requires is that you are over the age of 18, have a Facebook account and an interest in politics or…

Take part in my Politics dissertation?
Hi everyone! I'm currently researching for my undergraduate dissertation, it's on social media and political activism so if any of you use Facebook, I'm interested in your views! The online survey is anonymous and very quick, it'll only take a moment, but it'll help me out a lot! Many thanks in advance :flowerforyou:…

EA Sports Active 2 - Have you tried it's workout group featu
Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone wanted to join my EA Sports Active 2 group. For those that have EA Sports Active 2 with internet access enabled (like on the Wii via wifi for example) you'll have seen a heading called 'groups' on the homescreen where players can see each other's calorie burns, times, distances and heart…

Splashpath iPod/iPhone app & website
Hey everyone! I wondered if any of you had tried the Splashpath app/site for recording the distance of your swims. I love it, it even has my two local pools' timetables on there. If any of you are on there, you're welcome to add me, I'm using the same username on there as here.

When friends drift apart... and you're fine with it
Just had this facebook message from an old friend: "I miss you :( I keep having dreams about you at the moment. What happened to our friendship? xxx" I literally have no idea how to respond to that!? Firstly, the dream part seemed kinda creepy from someone I haven't spoke to in a year. My honest answer is that we're very…

Contraceptive Implant and weight loss
Firstly, sorry if this is a little too much information  I've been on the contraceptive implant for nearly a year now, for the first 6-7 months I had no problems with it, well not compared to the Pill and mini pill which caused migraines, high blood pressure and strange crackling sounds in my head.. (very strange I…

Has anyone reached goal having never had a plateau?
I guess I'm counting a plateau as around 2-4weeks or more of no weight loss. I just wonder if reaching a plateau happens to everyone losing a lot of weight (say 25lbs and over). It hasn't happen to me yet, as I'm only 11lbs into my total 60lb goal so I fear it happening sometime soon (Yes, I one of those people that worry…

Advice needed about living with a relative who is bulimic
Hi everyone, The last few years have been very stressful in my house. My mother (53) suffered from anorexia for a couple of years and then after the death of her mother she developed the signs of bulimia instead. Previously she was given anti-depressants and sent to a eating disorder counsellor for anorexia, but found both…

Polyunsaturated / monounsaturated goal is set to N/A
Hi everyone, I notice in my food goals (set by MFP) that polyunsaturated fats and monounsaturated fats are set to N/A so whenever I consume these it's shown as over the limit. For this reason would it be a better Idea for me to watch the amounts of saturated fats I consume instead of fats in general? Also is there a rough…

HRM fat burned measurement
Hi everyone, My HRM shows a reading for both calories burned and fat burned, my question is should I take the grams of fat burned, away from my daily fat allowance on MFP, like it does with calories? Or should I disregard this figure altogether? Many thanks in advance

Calories in pizza
I've done much searching through the MFP database and I'm convinced I'm the only one that eats dominoes pizza the way I do so I have no idea on the calories, carbs, fat or sodium content. (All the things I'm closely watching) It's medium 12" , thin crust, with NO tomato sauce but with reduced fat cheese. (I'm prepared for…

Hi everyone! :D
I creating this account ages ago, started using it, but then lost all motivation to lose weight because I let the stress of university and jobs get in the way. But now, I've had a change of heart and perspective and realised that my degree would be very pointless if I wasn't healthy enough to get a job with it afterwards,…
