Injectables
I'm considering starting Copaxone. How is it using an injectable? Amy problems with the injection sites? Or anything else? Thanks!

Pregnancy and MS?
I'm about 10.5 weeks along and off my medication since December, doing okay so far. I would love to hear from anyone either in the same boat currently, or hear about your previous experiences! Feeling a little nervous even though so far everything is okay...

mac and cheese!
I made some mac and cheese, market pantry. The box says 150 calories for the mix, 410 as prepared. I didn't add all the milk and butter it said to add. So I guess my question is, is 150 calories for just the pasta, or the pasta plus the cheese mix? TIA!

Calorie question!
Just wondering, this may seem like a stupid question but how are calories in food determined? Like who comes up (and how) with the exact number of calories that an apple, or milk, or whatever, are?

Help with setting goals in diary
I lost about 40 pounds a couple of years ago, here, by eating 1200 calories strictly. I've been on and off the site, but got back on a few weeks ago and would like to lose some weight before I get pregnant, about 20 pounds ideally though I don't know if I will wait that long. I have my diary set to 1200 but am eating more…

Lose 5 pounds in January Open Group
Hi everyone, I loved this thread last year but noticed it only went through December so I thought I would start one for January. If there is already another one please let me know, I don't want to hijack it. I'll start with my goals: SW: 165.0 CW: 161.0 GW: 156 (by end of month) UGW: 130 I am currently not exercising until…

Kettlebell workout?
I am interested in lifting but the gym at my work only has a few machines, no free weights. I was thinking maybe kettlebell workouts might be a good way to start at home without having to invest in a bunch of weights. Anyone have any experience with kettlebell workouts for strength training? If there are any youtube videos…

Veggie stir fry ideas?
Need ideas for veggies to put in stir fry, tired of broccoli/mushroom combination. I always put onions/garlic/ginger for the base. What veggies do you guys put in stir fry?

Easy double chocolate protein pancakes!
I was looking here for recipes and everything I saw either had bananas (which I love but I wanted something more pancake-like), or random ingredients I don't have like baking soda. But I found a recipe on a different site and modified it and it was awesome, so I thought I'd share! 1 scoop protein powder (mine was Muscle…

Weight question!
I gained 4 pounds in the last 24 hours! I know that's not possible in real life but is it possible in pregnancy??? I am 10w6d and until today had hovered around 145 the last two weeks, today I'm 149! I worked an overnight shift (only do this 1-2x per month) and ate an unusually big breakfast. I'm 5'2 for reference. Thanks!

I hate nausea!
Sometimes I feel like I have nausea, indigestion, heartburn AND hunger all at the same time, which is weird. I've been drinking a ton of club soda which helps a little. Any other tips? I'm also ok with any over the counter meds that are safe in pregnancy, just bit sure which ones would work well. But also any foods or…

Would love VITAMIX recipes!
I am finally getting a Vitamix, I've read all the reviews and am super excited to get it on Monday! I already make green smoothies in a regular blender (usually kale or spinach, yogurt, berries or other fruit mix) and am looking forward to making it easier in the Vitamix. My question is for more unusual recipes--what sorts…

Public/open diaries? New here!
Hi, just joined this group this morning after reading more on the forums about IIFYM and posts on why you can eat anything and still lose weight! I was on MFP last year and do not remember it being this pro-eat junk if you can. Anyway glad to join this group. I have slowly started moving towards eating cleaner, mostly by…

best cure for soreness?
Just worked out yesterday after nothing for a month (sick with a horrible cold)--I only spent 30 minutes doing total body lifting, so walking weighted lunges, dead lift, overhead press, leg press, calf raises, and barbell rows. Today I cannot move!!! I was thinking of going to a yoga class in an hour, or is there anything…

Weetabix!
First of all--is anyone else obsessed with this cereal? And do people in England/Britain actually eat it there too? Anyway I love this cereal and am looking for other things to do with it! Usually I have 2 biscuits, add skim milk (or water) and add PB2, or some honey, then microwave. What do other people add to it?

Watch battery?
I have a Polar FT4 pink watch and the battery died--I bought new 3v batteries at Target but it was too big to fit. Does anyone know what type of battery to buy or where to order it from? I can't tell online what the size is and in person Target only had one size. Thanks for any help!

New group!
For some reason I am up kind of late, maybe because I slept sooooooo much last night, felt super tired for some reason. Anyway I noticed there is no MS group and there are a few people here with MS (I am MFP friends with a few) and thought it might be nice to have a little group to talk about either MS stuff or health…

Make up before the gym?
I am about to go the gym for spin, in a dark spin studio, and was putting on make up and thinking about how absurd it was. Not full make up but foundation/powder and blush...I look better but I sweat a ton so it's kind of ridiculous. But I also think there's a lot of cute guys at the gym and I don't want to walk in looking…

Over the years...story in numbers!
Wanted to lay it out and see where I am, would love to see others do the same! Good to see it in black and white! Everyone has a story... 1997 (HS grad, age 17): 135 lbs 1998 (college, age 18): 145 lbs 2000 (end of college, age 20): 125 lbs 2001 (in med school, age 21): 135 lbs 2002 (in med school, on depot shot, age 22):…

fish oil?
Does anyone use fish oil? I just got this Medscape article that showed that it was not any better than placebo either individually or with interferon. But the interesting thing was that the article notes that the most common alternative treatment used in MS is fish oil. Anyone use it? What do you think of it? Here is the…

How do you drink your green tea?
I love black tea with skim milk and a little honey or sugar, but want to start drinking green tea especially when it's late. Can I drink it with milk/honey as well? I think with some of the decaf/herbal teas the milk curdles. I know I should probably just drink it plain but maybe I'll move towards that one day. How do you…

Gilenya update
So my neurologist called me today and told me to stop taking Gilenya for now due to some patient deaths. It's unclear whether the deaths are related to the medication but it's being looked into by the FDA. Kind of upsetting since personally I've been doing fairly well on it...not sure if anyone here is on it but thought I…

Natural treatments for MS
I am wondering what you guys have tried or know about as alternatives. I take medication but I am also interested in other lifestyle changes, diet changes, etc. that could be helpful. I have been taking cinnamon for the past few months, and I missed it last week and I feel like there was a difference (more noticable…

Polar FT4: pink or bronze???
I know everyone has HRM questions, I've already decided to get the FT4, but from what I can see online, for women it only comes in pink or bronze. What color should I get? I am thinking if I wear it all the time the bronze, but if it's just the gym then pink (I love pink!). Do you all only wear it when you work out or do…

Gym ideas for today?
I am going to the gym for a "quick" workout, just will have about 45 minutes or so. I meet 1-2x a week with a trainer for circuit/resistance/weight stuff. So today I want to do cardio. I have a couple goals--one is to burn a lot of calories, but I am also training for an 8k (5 mi) race in March. Right now I am running 5k…
