I pulled a 9 off the shelf and looked at the sizing and according to the back of the bag it was still too big. I bought a size 7. I freaking size 7!! They are tight but fit. Though really I think underwear is supposed to fit tighter and not sag down lol.
Isn’t it insane to be so excited about buying new underwear? Lol
I bought cheap undies and I was so excited not to have to buy Lane Bryant....I won’t have to wear these until they fall apart!...still no long pants except my baggy ones....I refused to pay $125+ for a pair that I will only be able to wear a few months....1 -

I am wondering who to buy from to get a good thick cotton like Lane Bryant sells.

I was having trouble - and now have a bathtub with extra deep water - it has helped a lot. If I get out before I let the water out, I'm so bouyant I can stand with little trouble!3 -
I agree, I'm fitting in the bathtub a little differently these days!3

I'm nearing the end of C25K (again) finally! My legs feel great and my foot/heel is doing pretty well, though I'm still being very careful (icing post run, still sleeping with a small night splint). This week is 25 minute runs with no walking breaks; next week the program ends with a 30 minute run. My legs could definitely go farther now, but I don't want to push it and end up injured again.
I'm trying to think what next steps will be. I think the app is a bit aggressive in its continuation to 10K, which I think is how I got hurt to begin with! My current plan is to ditch the app and just increasing my running time 10% a week until I'm up to the actual 5K distance (bless the app for assuming I run a 10 minute mile lol). Then I might look at the Hal Higdon 10K program, since it seems more conservative. Then once I can do the 10K distance, I think I'll be ready to go back and work on some speed work and improving my pace.
Sure would be nice if I could do a race (virtual just isn't my thing). C'mon 2021....3 -
I’m wearing 1x leggings today! I’m throwing away the 3x!!!
I bought 1x by mistake and put them on and they fit!!!7 -

Should have waited until after my run to post this, lol. I did go and run, but my phone died before the halfway point. Apparently I cannot be trusted to do the planned workout on my own, so instead of turning around near what would be the halfway point, I kept going. I did a total of 2.5 miles, which was more than the 1.75-ish I intended. My legs are tired. I'm tired. My heel is a bit sore. Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. Rest tomorrow, and will back off a bit for Wednesday's run.

I'm relatively new to this group - so I haven't followed the story of your injury. But it sounds like a place I was a couple of years ago when I ruptured my plantar fascia and tore a chunk out of my heel bone (from not being careful enough when I had plantar fascitis). I thought it never was going to heal. But it has! Woohoo! It took almost two years. And it felt like twenty. Be gentle with yourself...and give your body all the love you can. I hope Wednesday's run feels good!

Congratulations! A little rotation in the closet feels pretty amazing.2 -
This weekend we had an outdoor gathering to celebrate my grandson's 5th birthday. I was running around like a nutbar, putting up tarps (of course it was raining) trying to make sure everyone had separate platters of snacks (social distancing in full force) and checking on the fire we had going to make sure we didn't freeze.
I was talking to my youngest son, who's 30, and was feeling really good and so very happy to see everyone, and he said that I looked fantastic. How light on my feet I was and how full of energy.
I almost died, my heart was fluttering so quickly. Son's don't usually notice that kind of thing. And now - finally - I am starting to feel the "good" I was supposed to feel. It took 93 pounds before it kicked in. But these last few pounds felt like they made a huge difference! Or maybe its that I'm eating a few more calories lately so I'm not starving to such a degree anymore. Lol. I didn't think about that until I wrote this post, but yes, it probably has something to do with feeding myself a bit more. (Thank you, @NovusDies for helping me get to that point.)
Anywhich way or why - I feel pretty great these days! Can't wait to see what 2021 will bring because I never in a million years thought I would be where I am today back in January.4 -
This may be just a fibro thing, but having lost 50 pounds, my flare isn't as horribly painful as usual. I'm sore, but it's not a level I can't handle. I'm mostly just exhausted. This is a NICE change. And I'm not having the skin sensitivity this time either, which is also a good change. I did not expect that losing weight would change how my flares manifested, but I'm okay with this.5

Today I made it through 108 sun salutations! I wanted to try this practice to mark the new year but convinced myself I wouldn’t be physically able to right now. I sort of gave it a shot on a whim and while it took me over three hours—I did it!7

I got a walk in today! 4 miles! Short for what I was doing, but its January and I've been out of practice, so I've got to build myself back up again when I can get it.9

I've dropped 2 pant sizes now I went from a 20w to a 16w now ! I bought another pair of 16w (I only have 1 and I'm still wearing the 18w's with a belt to keep them up) well I put them on only to realize they would barely button and there was no hope of zipping them! I took them off and looked and they were the right brand but they are just regular 16's not wides ! So I'm not taking them back I'm just gonna wait till they do fit ! Maybe I won't have to buy wide jeans anymore ! That will be amazing!8

I averaged 10 241 steps per day in 2020.
In 2019 I averaged 4776, and hitting that 10K average last year despite Covid and WFH feels great as it reflects my commitment to this journey.6 -
So as we are settling my mother’s estate I’m Pennsylvania remotely fro Florida, we get a call that the pipe burst and the whole downstairs is flooded.
I’m frustrated because I paid to have the home winterized and my first reaction was to stuff my face.
But I didn’t. I thoroughly cleaned the kitchen instead. I’m so so proud of myself.8 -

I'm really proud of you too! How VERY frustrating! Hopefully you'll be able to get up there and deal with the mess soon.

I did it! I ate my fav pizza. It did not trigger a binge. I had two slices with wine. I was full and now I know for sure that I can actually do this.
Although I did not like my mindset. I was more excited than a kid at Christmas all day in anticipation.
But at the pizzeria I actually felt like a normal person.5 -

You did great and you lost weight....that is a win!2 -

Big congratulations to you. As Connie said - that is a win!!!!3 -
I've been doing zoom yoga several times a week since the end of November, and I'm finally starting to see how it is paying off. Today during class, I realized I haven't had to use my block in ages. Not for a single pose - in forward folds, I can have my hands flat on the floor!! I even manged standing splits and half moon (not for very long though, my balance is awful), but I can do it with my hands flat on the floor.4

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or under "Doom, Despair and Agony on Me" - but am opting for a positive spin.
Last night, I was tripped up by a lowly potato. Literally!
My path to the local grocery story brings me in through the rear of the parking lot, alongside the garbage bins out back of the store. It's about 8:30, dark out, just about freezing and this is a sketchy area with not a lot of lighting so I'm walking really quickly and I step on a lump of something, turn my ankle and fall. Down on the salty, wet January asphalt, I look around and see a medium potato - probably about 80 grams :-) That's what I stepped on. I do a mental check. Knees, hand and ankle all have that immediate intense pain. But I gotta get up and get myself out of the line of traffic. I wipe myself off and realize that nothing hurts like a serious injury kinda hurt. I limp a little at first but by the time I'm entering the store I'm walking fine. I do my shopping and carry it home. All the way just amazed at how resilient my body is now that it is almost 100 lbs lighter!
I was and am so amazed by everything that went right! I put my left, non-dominant hand out to break my fall - since 80% of my right shoulder tendons are ruptured that was probably the difference between carrying on like normal last night and calling an ambulance and being in the hospital today. My knees are a little tender, but not even bruised. My ankle is slightly sprained - a little sore when I flex it - but nothing that won't be golden in a few days. And I came home with what was on my list, including a little bag of baby potatoes!
Alas - I'm a few pounds heavier on the scale today because of the swelling, but I'm good to take the dog out for a decent walk, if not meet my 20,000 step goal.
I'm thanking my heavenly stars - and kinda happy for a rest day.8 -
Glad you were not seriously hurt but I gotta ask if you kept the potato that you stepped on?....I would have!1

I should have! But I called it a stupid potato and threw it against the wall.

I was proud of myself! After going to get pellets for my pellet stove and then grocery shopping at Walmart, I decided to get chicken tenders from Hardee's because they are around 260 calories for a 3 pack. But instead of fries, I decided to pick up a bag of Bird's Eye green beans and potatoes in sauce so I'd have a healthier side. When I went through the drivethru, I really found myself craving an apple pie, but I didn't get it; I stuck with the tenders only and came home and had my veggies instead.
lol - I needed that victory! I still have 200 calories left today, too, thanks to the long elliptical session this morning! I think i'll get a cheese stick with it and then see if I can end the day with room to spare.
So perhaps I can safely say I'm getting back on track? And better to get back on 3 months later than 18 months later like last time!8 -
Bmeadows it sounds like a win to me!0
