On Teams today, a colleague said my face looked thinner. I’m not sure I know how to take these comments when made … uncomfortable muttered some indistinct comment, all flustered! Is a victory tonight though and I’m buzzed!2

Also, I walked 3 miles today! I'm pretty tired, but that's the most I've walked since I was in high school!
That is a great accomplishment!0 -
Boyfriend pointed out today that the size 18 shirts which had been tight everywhere, are now only tight across the boobs. (Which are steadfastly refusing to reduce in size.)5

Good for you! I took up walking last year and enjoy it tremendously. More than anything it is so good for my brain! And I am so much more a part of my neighbourhood now plus of course it burns calories pretty nicely.4 -
Walking is such a great exercise!….I wish I could walk more but my hips get tired!…..still I do better than I did two years ago when I could barely get 1500 steps in a day!…swimming is another story!….love the water!….congratulations on your walk pdd1216….3

I have had a few NSVs of late that have me feeling better about myself.
1) I have actually been CRAVING my weekly "long" walk. Due to my work schedule I have to keep things short during the week, but on weekends bring it on. It may not be long for some people (between 1.5 to 3 miles depending on pain levels that day), but it is amazing for me.
2) I stopped a binge. Yep... I started to binge a few days ago and stopped it in its tracks. Told myself that is what I was doing and that I wasn't hungry. I focused on something else and the next thing I know it was a couple hours later.
3) I ordered in the other night (was ill) and only ate half my meal which was about 750 calories. In the past I would have eaten the whole thing and made myself not feel well.
Sometimes you have to look at the little victories to keep yourself motivated to keep going.10 -
I'm counting this as a NSV. A neighbor posted some free first-come-first-serve stuff. In on of the photos, I thought I saw a pretty leather jacket and figured I'd walk over and check it out. I had a treasured leather jacket in high school that I outgrew, and that my mom wore, and then eventually gave away. Now that I'm shrinking down, I've been looking at them again, but even so, it is so so hard to find ones I like in my size.
So I walk to the neighbors house, and try on this BEAUTIFUL brown leather jacket. And....it fit. IT FIT! It seems to be a men's large (50, which is a EU size?). I obviously grabbed it and brought it home. I looked it up and it seems I just got myself a free designer leather jacket!?!?!?!? It is little tight in the hips still, but I also prefer th look of it open. And I can continue to shrink into it this fall and winter.
IT FIT!10 -
Somewhat if a scale victory but nonetheless. My BMI finally just dropped below 35!! I'm now in the lowest risk obesity category, and on my way to just plain old overweight. Considering I started in the 40s, I'm pretty thrilled!6

@eliezalot Yay, that's awesome! I too started out in obese category 3 and I'm now in obese category 1 (BMI 33.0) and I agree, it's a great feeling! Won't it be fantastic when we're both merely overweight!4 -
Mine has dropped from 51 to 35!….5

Connie and Bella - that is incredible!!! It feels so good to watch it slowly tick downward!
I officially started at 44 and today was 34.3. Cheers to category 1!3 -
I'm needing this moral boost this morning. I went from 41.3 to 24.7 within the normal range!! now I'm back up to 25.8 in the overweight category. But I'll get back down there. Just feels like so much more of a battle these days. lol. So much for the moral boost.2

What's wrong with a moral boost? Hey, the OLD normal weight for a brief period of history was up to BMI 27, I think when they were doing quartiles or something. And you're right on the distribution for longevity! now go do things gently!3

That is amazing!!!! I'm not sure I'll ever get to a "nomal" range, it seems so far away still. And 25.8 is pretty darn close. As Pav said - you're on the right part of the curve for health, regardless of the specific number!3 -
Thank you, both. I'll absorb these lovely doses of positivity to power through the rest of the day....staying strong...and eating what I know I should4

So excited about jogging today! Just for 8 minutes total broken up by walking but I did it! I'm hoping to sign up for a fall 5k to walk/run so just happy to have actually started 😄6

It's the little things that help with motivation -- today at work, I dropped a piece of paper on the floor while I was sitting at my desk. I was able to remain seated, bend over, and reach the piece of paper on the floor - without having to lift my butt from my seat! This is huge for me, haven't been able to do that in forever because my belly got in the way lol. It sounds super silly, but it was for sure a "YAY" moment for me!6

Rearranged the living room this morning. Sweat like a pig doing it (Of course, the humidity even indoors is in the 70% range) but was not sore or tired.
After dinner decided the new arrangement didn't work, and put it all back.
Still not tired. Still not sore. Not even the arthritic feet are complaining, or the lordotic back. Strength training plus weight loss for the win!6
