Starting by Maintaining
Wow, I just started logging food again. I am listening to an amazing podcast called, half-size me. She lost over 150 lbs and is in year 10 of maintenance. She's inspired me. The plan: track normal eating (wow I was way overeating) Then, you find out what your maintenance is on average over a few weeks. Then as you find…

Anything is possible!!!
I started this journey just before the pandemic at 430 pounds. Thanks to myfitnesspal, and consistent exercise I am now gearing up for my first full marathon on January 9th at 210 pounds. I tried everything to lose weight in the past. Every diet under the sun. Myfitnesspal made me realize that it’s not about dieting. You…

I'm so grateful and only motivated even more to keep rebuilding myself and go harder into not just this, but literally anything I want to achieve. 😤 also, sorry for the lack of a decent "before" pic. When I was obese, I kinda…

Back at it again... This time with a vengeance!
I've done this a few times before but I let myself fall off track because of mental health issues. I also kept struggling with finding a happy balance of being able to see friends and not obsess over caloric intake while being out and about. I KNOW I'm finally at a place where I can kick butt at this and reach my goals. I…

Newbie - Again.
Hi, I am back and happy to be back. I had been trying to do WW and it was not going well for a few years. When they changed the program, I gained. I also had a lot of changes in my life with my parent's health issues. I maintained the gain but stayed the same. My new doctor last week handed me a sample sheet of calories…

Not So New Newbie (Intro + My Journy)
Felt like making a little intro post so here goes! (Tw ED mention) I'm actually not new to MFP at all but this is kinda the first time I'm using it properly I suppose.. Introducing myself
At 70 years young I am starting again with my own volumetric/zoom type of eating plan. I need to lose 75 lbs., but I’d like to lose 100. After a week, Holiday sweet cravings are gone. I am trying to keep things simple with eggs, smoothies, or oatmeal with low sugar/fat yogurt and berries for breakfast; a giant non-starchy…

Hello, I am new to MyFitnessPal as of today. I have to loose weight for a myriad of reasons: health issues, energy, growing old, and, of course, loose weight because I hate how big I am. I can't do many of the things I used to do, and because I am getting older and my age has a lot to do with why I can't do things I used…

On track until I get home from work! Help!
I have been counting calories now for a few weeks but I struggle so bad when I get home from work. I do so well for breakfast and lunch and a few snacks, but when I get home, I want to just eat everything. Then I just spiral for the rest of the night because I “blew it”. Any tips or advice?

I'll start with a couple and add more over time. If anyone else has any good ones please…

So you're new here...
I've spammed this in hundreds of threads... I figured it was about time to give this info a permanent home. 1. don't trust the initial setup that MFP provides. If you put in the wrong/inaccurate information, it'll tell you to eat an amount that may not be applicable. 2. Make sure you eat enough. 3. Figure out what works…
