A guide to get you started on your path to Sexypants.
I generally think that people put emphasis on things that either don't matter at all or only matter a small amount while ignoring the things that matter a great deal. Overview of what I think is important: * Eat the appropriate caloric (and macronutrient) intake for your goals and track intake accurately. I think eating…

Proud but frustrated
I’m 2.5 mos out from GSV and have lost 51 pds but feel like I’m behind and I can’t tell I’ve dropped ant weight. My tummy is still a bit sensitive to some foods but I’m getting close to 900 calories in and macros are pretty good.

75 Hard
Has anyone embarked on The 75 Hard journey? I'm interested in starting it. Any success stories? I read this is the criteria 1.Choose a diet (if you're not following one already) and stick with it—that means no cheat days. Also, you have to cut out all alcohol. 2.Do two 45-minute workouts every day. One must be outside.…

I'm 61, and have no more excuses to not lose the baby weight, because the baby is 23!! 😂 I was hospitalized with covid in winter 2021, and I'm very lucky to be here. My muscles tone was destroyed and I put on another 30 pounds while recovering for 4 months Therapy is not covered under my insurance. So I asked a personal…

Will my calories decrease over time if I start at 1,210?
Hi! I’m wondering how far MyFitnessPal will set the calorie goal. I know that they offer to change the goal for every 10 lbs lost, but is there a boundary where they can’t cross 1,200, or something? I’m only concerned since they’re starting me at 1,210. I don’t want to plateau. Thank you!

Hello!
Hi folks, I’m fairly new to this community and wanted to introduce myself. I would greatly appreciate any advice, as I don’t seem to be making any progress on my own. I have a desk job and drive three hours a day for work. I do try to walk as much as possible in our small office, but I know I need to move more. I also have…

Best macros for weight loss
I'm tired of fad diets that drastically reduce carbs, fat, sugar or whatever. They don't work for me ... I get really cranky and cheat. I find I am more satiated and less likely to cheat when I eat a balanced diet. I read online that the most effective approach for many people is eating a range of 5 to 15% carbs, 25 to 35%…

Starting Over after Grief
I have been a member of MFP for quite some time, and I was very close to my goal weight last fall, maybe 7 pounds to go. My mom died in September 2022, and I just gave up. I have been struggling very hard over the past year, gained 50 pounds, feeling very discouraged and embarrassed about it. This Saturday marks one year…

Scale Trust Issues
I’m skeptical about my scale. I don’t totally trust it. It’s on a thin carpet, (the floors in my bathroom are slanted, where my scale gives me 3 TOTALLY different readings within a minute in there) but its placement (on the rug) is the only thing that keeps me weighing in daily. It’s stayed in the same spot for 3 months…

Looking for friends
Hi everyone! I'm Barbra, and I'm back on my weight loss journey. I was here on MFP in 2019 and lost about 70 pounds, but then gained most of it back. I've been here now for about 4 months and have lost 44 pounds, but I really miss the daily encouragement. I'm 56 years old and have at least 75 more pounds to lose, so I'll…
