Guess who's back...back again
Well I'm back at it. Unhappy with my health conditions, trying to avoid severe diabetic complications, trying to slim down and get back on track with healthy choices and movement.

Finally back at it
I’ve been off this app for awhile now. The past couple of years have been rough. I had a stroke, was diagnosed with diabetes and cancer and ended up having major surgery this summer. I lost some weight during all of that but it wasn’t in a good way. I still need to lose about 50 pounds to get to my goal weight. I also need…

Trying to stay Motivated
Hi everyone my name is Bethany I just started my journey a week ago. I have high hopes and I'm doing good so far this week. I went to the gym 5 days and I've ate healthy all week. I just have such anxiety that I'm going to lose focus or not stay motivated. Then I will just give up. Does anyone else feel this way? Or is it…

11k steps a day challenge
Today marks day ONE that my challenge was completed ✔️ 11,000 steps equated to about 4 miles for me. Proud of myself❤️

Not exactly new but starting over.
I actually completed my weight loss goals back in 2018 but since all of the lockdowns took the gym away from me and since then I've been back to uni and moved house, struggled financially and mentally and all that jazz.... I've put all the weight I lost back on 😭 But not to worry because I'm starting fresh. I've already…

Looking for a few good friends.
I'm back to the meat grinder again. Maybe this time will be a bigger success. I'm 53 years old and 300lbs. So, I need to lose a lot. I want friends who can be supportive while still appreciating a good joke or story. We can swap ideas and recipes or just hang out and talk about our funny kids. If this is you, add me as a…

Recommended Zone 2 Training
I’m trying to lose 60 lbs and my only means of working out is some weight training and cardio on a stationary bike. I’m not able to do high impact aerobic exercises because of a bad back. I just discovered zone 2 training and was wondering if anyone else uses this style of training. What would be the minimum amount of time…

Got to do something!!!!
Hi all, I’m new to my fitnes pal. I’m a serial dieter. Over the years I’ve tried everything and it’s never really worked. Some short term gains for sure but I’ve had some heavy financial losses with all the fads long the way!! I want to go back to basics with MFP. I m lactose and dairy intolerant. If anyone has got any…

Lost 167 pounds naturally (no surgery) in 3 years! (5’9 31 year old female)
(No I’m not flipping the bird) Hey there! I’m Ashley! I’m 31 and I’m a Boston gal who lives near Charleston SC. I started my weight loss journey (for real this time) 3 years ago after my father passed from CHF and my mother got sick with lymphoma (she unfortunately passed a year later.) I was only in my late 20s and was…

Hey. I'm Shelly. I'm obese, I have health issues, and I'd like to fix it.
I'm 5'2 and 200 pounds. I had myfitness pal 4 years ago and I was quite fit. I then got pregnant with my daughter. Then after I gave birth I weighed 205 pounds. I got swept up and brainwashed into the fat acceptance movement. Now I have back problems, I struggle to climb upstairs, I'm not diabetic but I have blood sugar…

Here we go again
This will be my second time on the app. I had great success the first time. I lost 30 lbs. I did something to my neck during that time and couldn’t exercise and then I lost interest in eating right and gained it all back plus some. I need to lose about 50 lbs. Always looking for people to encourage along the way and for…

Cheat meals
When first getting started, how many cheat meals should I allow myself to have per week or month? My goal is 50 pounds. I don't think I should cheat on my diet too early at all. My boyfriend says "depriving" myself will cause me to be tempted into messing up.
-
Did I mess myself up and is the pounds I lost muscle?
For context, I think I have been reading the app wrong and not eating the proper calories. I assumed that I can only eat under my goal calories even with exercise. I do know that the listed goal is what I can eat to lose weight without exercise (1530), but I thought that burning what I ate with exercise is what was needed…

Restarting
I recently restarted using the app since I joined the transformation challenge at my local OTF. I gained a lot of weight over the past few years due to several circumstances and ready to be healthier when I turn 50 in September.
