Fasting Fast

Hi, I usually have issues fasting and withholding from food but I tried it yesterday and it mostly worked. Only cheated when I was studying deeply for an exam and needed a rewarding small piece of cake.
Today, not fasting so much but limiting to just a salad with no oil or dressings.
Probably gonna come home late and grab another slice of the cake, no judgement. :)

There's nothing wrong with fasting. I was at a standstill for a month and half until I did a 16/8 split (fast 16 hours, eat in 8 hour window) and Im already down 3 lbs. Its allowing me more calories at night, which is great because I'm a nighttime snacker. Do what works for YOU!

I actually lost 30 lbs a couple of years ago in about three months. I was fasting. Pretty much 16/8 (8 hour eating window). But, it wasn't intentional.

I was probably about 64 years old. I was retired. I wasn't out building houses or anything. So, I didn't have a huge appetite. And, I tend not to be hungry when I first wake up. So, I would be doing computer work or working in the kitchen and look at the clock and think, "It's 10:30 am, and I haven't had breakfast yet!".

And, then my husband is older than me and prefers to eat dinner fairly early (no later than 6 pm). So, it just worked out that way.

But, we were eating healthy, nutrient dense foods (lean meats and lots of fish, veggies, yogurt, seeds and healthy fats)...not highly processed foods or desert items.

I just started looking into fasting and it seems like a great way to start healing the body- my 1 vice that is going to be a problem is my coffee. I know black is okay, but creamer is what makes it delicious, so that will "break my fast" according to what I've read. Anyone know of anything creamer-like that is ok during a fast?-or am I just screwed? lol
