Coffee lovers who calorie count
Is there a coffee that you enjoy drinking black? I have tried a couple but nothing seems to stick for me. I usually put Coffee Mate hazelnut creamer but the calories add up. I just tried Starbucks Espresso and Cream Light (in a can) 6.5fl oz it is 70 calories. It tasted great and kept me energized. Another plus is being…

Cheat meals
When first getting started, how many cheat meals should I allow myself to have per week or month? My goal is 50 pounds. I don't think I should cheat on my diet too early at all. My boyfriend says "depriving" myself will cause me to be tempted into messing up.

Don't feel that hungry often
Has anyone ever noticed reduced hunger since the start of a weight loss journey? I still eat 2-3 times a day for nutrition and health, but I never feel hungry when I eat them. For example, if I have a protein shake with banana for breakfast, I don't feel hungry until dinner. Is this normal?

Let’s talk sleep & food! Should I care?
Do you eat or avoid something before going to sleep? Does it affect you at all? Bonus: do you track it in MFP?

OTF member
The app is great, but before I pay for the premium… I wanted to know if anyone knows how to connect my workout with Orange theory?

200+ pounds down, ??? to go!
Hello everyone! I’m Jen. I’m 35 years old, 5’10”, 195 pounds. I have a 14-month-old daughter and I work remotely. This isn’t my first time here. In fact, MFP was absolutely pivotal in getting myself out of what felt like a hopeless situation when I was much heavier. I found so much support from this community and it helped…

National Quitters Day
About five years ago, Strava did some research. I think it's OK to mention Strava here because there's a way to link data from Strava to our MFP exercise diary. They looked over all their user data and determined that the second Friday in January is when people start to give up on their New Year's resolutions - 80% of…

Proper Human Diet
Read ...Lies my doctor told me, by Dr. KEN BERRY It will change your life and your relation with food. It is not a diet so much as a way of life. The benefits my husband and I have gained already are amazing. Overall better health, losing weight, increased energy, improved labs, fewer medications, decreased inflammation…

New Year's Resolutions
As we prepare to welcome the New Year, many of us will make resolutions. Many people on MFP will make resolutions about fitness and diet. Sometimes those resolutions will be lofty; we are setting ourselves up for failure. As like any other time of year, we need our goals to be difficult but achievable. We need them to be…

Hello - 50 in August - my goal for weight loss
This isn't my first rodeo with MyFitnessPal but it's like my comfort blanket weight loss app. For 40 years I was thin and athletic but early perimenopause kicked me in the metabolism quite badly and for the last 9 years I have gone over my goal/standard/normal weight by 2 and a half stone, and up nearly 3 dress sizes. I…

New to the journey
Hi there! 33 year old female, 5'5" and 255 lbs. Honestly haven't thought much of my weight in years and was under the blissfull ignorance I was still the same 230 I was at my doctor's appointment last summer 😆 Not that 230 is "ideal" for my height, but I digress. The only reasons I realized I gained was all of my pants are…

Any Peloton users/At-home exercisers?
Wondering if there are any Peloton users out there who would like to connect for accountability and motivation. I found a couple of groups but they haven’t been active in a long time. I’m willing to start a new group if anyone is interested! I use the bike and the app. Also, if anyone is not a Peloton user but sticks to…

Post-Degree recovery
Hey everyone! I’ve just finished a masters program, it was a long road where my self care, sleep, nutrition, and health all went on a pause. So I would love some input on picking healthy habits back up after 2 years putting my attention elsewhere.
