Goal Setting
Hello, I'd like to set my goals to a specific protein, fat, carb independent of the calories. When I change the macros, the calories change as well. How can I bypass this to get what I need. I am a premium member. Thanks.

Will going over my macros speed up my weight gain?
To make a long story short, I reverse dieted after a very long and restrictive diet and accidently ended up losing more weight in the process, making me mildly underweight by the end of it. Since the end of said reverse diet a few weeks ago, I've been eating in a calorie surplus in an attempt to bring myself back up to a…

What do you think?
Hi! I could really use some new input, and more importantly, a little reassurance that im on the right track 💪 Googling did not provide me with the right answer yet. 36 year old mother, 1.62m/63kg and been doing 3x weight training (home, weights) and daily dogwalks for 3 months now. No big results, so time to ditch the…

Why do my macros keep changing/resetting?
I keep setting my macros to a specific percentage for carbs/fat/protein and it keeps changing on me constantly. I think it stays for maybe a day and then resets to some arbitrary amount. Anyone experienced this or know how to fix it?

530lb 26yo M 6’2” Looking for Caloric Intake and Macros Advice
Hi Everyone! New to the community but happy to follow along with everyone on their journeys as I work through my own. A little TL;DR of my journey: I started to really take my health seriously for the first time in College shortly after I met my girlfriend of nearly 5 years now. In 2019 went from 487 to just over 400…

Difficulty achieving Macro Protein intake.
Macros baffle me, and I cannot hit the mark! I usually manage not to exceed my 1200cal daily food goal. (It is a challenge, but I am pretty diligent). I enter all my food into MFP. I try to combine this calorie focus with MFP macro goals... but, my protein always falls short (I usually only eat between 30-60g protein). My…

Postpartum and General Weight Loss
Hi everyone! So I just gave birth to my 3rd baby two weeks ago. The weight I gained pretty much came off after giving birth. But I was well overweight before becoming pregnant. I’ve tried everything in the past. What worked best for me, was a keto approach. I wasn’t extremely strict, because it wasn’t realistic for me and…

Long Battle
It’s been a long road to get to where I’m at now. In 2012 I started my journey tipping the scales at 268#. I lost 85# but it took me 5 years to do. I was able to keep that off for 4 years. Then in 2022 I really started making a concerted effort to control my diabetes. I started losing weight again. Now after a 10 year…

What macro balance for losing weight?
Morning all I am new to MFP, and new to the idea of even thinking about macro balance. I am enjoying working to it and can get to my percentage targets within one or 2%. Usually under on fat over on protein and carbs, but mainly protein. Pre-MFP I would’ve had a lot more carb and a lot a lot less fat and it’s taken a bit…

MFP Website Macro bar(not sure what it's called)
I switch between the app and the website. On the website, it would be nice if the macro bar (shows how many calories, and how much protein, carbs, and fat is in each item logged) stayed at its position on the page so that it's easier to locate which column is which when you've scrolled down passed breakfast.

Macro Goals by Meal
I have noticed when I want to adjust my goals by meal, I can do so by calories either in number or percentage, but when you're counting macros and not calories, there's no way to switch that off. My calories aren't going to be perfect when I'm focusing on specific macrograms per meal. I would love if you guys could add…

Is anyone else (not on Premium) having their macros changed?

Updates will not save
Hi everyone, we are new to my fitness pal and are having a little bit of a struggle. We are trying to edit our settings to reflect 10% carbs, 70% fat, and 20% protein. We save the changes but it automatically resets us back to 50% carb etc. Does anyone have any insight as to how we can make these changes reflect what we…

Increasing calories as you exercise more?
My doctor started me on a 1,200 calorie/day diet as I was very sedentary due to a severe back issue. My back is getting better and I have begun to do some moderate waliking 3-5 times a week. How do I know how many extra calories to add? Also, how much protein should I be striving for?

New to tracking Need help understanding
Hi, I'm new to tracking. My goal is to lose some weight. When I log my food it deducted my calories and lets me know how many calories I have left. Easy enough, but what I don't get is. Why does it add calories when I log calories burned from a work out ? Looking for some clarity. Thank you for your help

Here I am again. At 62….5’1” and pushing 200. I still play competitive tennis, wrangle puppies and dogs at work and 40lbs overweight - 50lbs if you go by the charts.
