Suggested calorie intake with Apple Watch tracking
I am trying to work out the best way to track what my calorie intake should be. I have a very physical job, window cleaning, which involves carrying ladders, climbing up and down ladders to clean windows. If I track this as “other” on Apple Watch, It averages about 2000 calorie burn per day. I also do cardio and strength…

A small post about big results (300 lbs -> 220 lbs)
I am not sure I have much to teach anyone but hopefully some will find this post inspirational. I have been large most of my life and have hit 300 lbs twice. Once in high school and again some time after graduating college. In June 2022, just before my 29th birthday, I did a lot of research into the best ways to lose…

Advice/complaint
Hello there! So I’m starting my journey about 2.5 weeks ago. First I was trying to go for loss of 1.5 pounds a week. I wasn’t happy gaining pounds within my second week even tho I was fine under the 3 pounds by 2nd week format. So. I’m going harder. 16:8 IF timeframe AND lower calorie intake for the 2lbs a week loss. Idk…

❓❓❓How have I maintained my 110 lb weight loss over 5 years? ❓❓
From 288 lbs to 178 lbs for over 5 years!! I do go up and down within a general 7 lb range, but how did I lose in the first place? Was it EASY? NO WAY was it easy. At that time, I couldn't walk much, but I could still lose!! I am not a healthy eater (Way better than I was though!) and I flatly refused to make any drastic…

I am about to start a 6-month subscription and looking for feedback and success stories on transitioning from meds and maintaing with lifestyle changes. Weaning away from weight loss
I'm a 53 yr old male, 5'9” currently 205lbs. Even at my heaviest all my blood tests and medical results remained in the normal zones, so my health is great. I was a college athlete 30+ years ago and weighed 190lbs with 6% BF at that time. Over the last 9 months I've lost 120lbs with net carbs under 20g/day (all veggies)…

How do you get your head (self image, self-talk, confidence) to catch up with your weight loss?
I am 4 pounds from my goal weight and find myself second guessing my success. Lately my habits have helped weight loss seem “too easy” and I expect to wake up any day and find that I’ve regained the 35 pounds I’ve lost, or that once I hit my goal that I won’t be able to maintain it (like the yo-yo weight I’ve done my…

MyPalFitness is telling me 2200 calories still after achieving my weight gain goal of 125.
I thought once I reached my goal, it'll go down so as I can maintain and keep the goal. Another thing is when I put in my weight in another app called MyDiaryNet, it tells me 1785 Cals a day to maintain my weight of 125. Is MyPalFitness not going to update?

Add "Medical Conditions" to help tailor nutrients.
Certain conditions require less or more of certain nutrients that might be considered abnormal for most but necessary for some. I.e. POTS and Sodium. Someone with pots might need to consume more salt than what's healthy for others. There are other conditions that impact the diet that MyFitnessPal might flair despite it…

Need some friends
I started this weight loss journey on February 28, 2023. By December I had lost 38 pounds toward my 40 pound goal. I kept losing until February of this year when I lost a workout friend to a sudden death. It threw me off my game. I found I am an emotional eater for sure! Today, I am up 7 pounds. Still logging, still…
