Localisation

When I go to add a treat for myself for example a McDonalds, I am showed so many options but mostly default to the US market. It would be good if there was an option to only show UK based foods with a button to search international.
Also with shrinkflation most things are shrinking so I am often finding that I am adding the old size packaging and then moving the quantity to like 0.95 to compensate the new smaller item.

I agree it would be great to only sort by local / appropriate foods, but this database is crowd sourced. So it’s not updated automatically when recipes or sizes change - it holds static data that users input. And then others input new slightly different recipes or quantities and you end up with multiple, mostly wrong, data.
If this database was to be synced automatically you’d need a lot more resource and it would not be free. That would be a significant task and I can’t see any appetite for it.

While it would be good to be able to take into account the location, but that would require having that info about each food and currently there isn't a field to indicate its location.

Hi Moosebot,
Using your example I would create the new data item and add '(UK)' - so users know the data isn't wrong.
So McDonald's, Strawberry Milk Shake (UK), Large for example
