ππI am constantly amazed by my success!! TY 2025 Spring 5% Community Challenge Team!

Yesterday (March 8th) I finished a challenge so close to my heart the 2025 Winter 5% Community Challenge team!! WHY is this so close to my heart?
I've been able to go from 288 lbs to 175 lbs over my years with the 5% Seasonal challenges, and maintain for 7 years this weight around the 175 mark (From 163 to 180 but no higher and not often there) The hardest part of weight loss is not only losing the weight, but KEEPING IT OFF!!
My body has decided it would not feel well, it's been 3 years of this, finally they realized its my heart and an illness that will continue to affect not only my heart, but also kidneys and brain. I know in my heart if I throw in the towel something I had thought I WOULD do at this stage, will only make me worse in the end, and an earlier death. I thought I was okay with that, but the more my body starts to fight (THANKS to the 5% Challenge!) to feel better, the more I WANT THAT!!! The 5% Challenge will be helping us with Health Habits to create success with ALL members!!
I am excited to extend not only my life, but to offer this to you, and MORE!! For me, its to extend my life, for many not only will you achieve this long term, but give pause for a moment, is there something you can not do at this point? That you'd like to do a year from now? DO IT WHILE YOU CAN!!! Three years ago I wanted to do a zip line, I didn't get around to it, now I simply can't. My bones will not handle it under any situation. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE this same mistake, I thought "Oh I can do it next year." But, we never know.
Take that goal and hang it where you'll see it often. HINT also take a picture of yourself now, hang that also where you'll see it. COME AND JOIN US and next year you may be able to take a new picture of yourself doing that goal!! IMAGINE THAT!!

The 5% challenges helped me to lose over 60 lbs 8-9 years ago and have helped me to maintain that loss (with occasional gains that I work to get rid of again) ever since. I'm still working on losing a few pounds, but without the 5% Challenges, I'm not sure how long I would have kept that weight off.
I don't love to exercise, but the 5% Challenges ensure that I stay committed to exercising and I can say that I'm far more fit now than I was 10 years ago when I was too much of a couch potato. Staying active s a key to longer life, and my mom lived to be 100! I'd love to see if I can match that!If you need something to help you "stay the course" in your weight loss journey; if you want to develop some healthy habits that will help you to get to your goal, then check out the 5% Challenges. It might just be the right fit for you as you travel on your healthy living journey!

The 5% challenges have helped me to maintain my weight lose for years and years! Being accountable to my MFP friends and acquaintances makes all the difference for me. Love these challenges and am very grateful that they are available to me!

The 2025 Winter 5% Challenge helped me to finally get back to basics and to finally have my weight going in the 'right' direction. For the first time in all the time I have been with the Challenges (since 2010), I lost more than 5% of my weight and that loss has excited me enough to keep going and to work toward reaching my goal.
Season to season, I look forward to the 5% Challenges. They are my constant; a comfortable place for me to come and connect with like-minded friends. Recently, the 5% Challenges have moved to a more 'Healthy Habits' based format and we, the Overall Leaders, try to research things that we hope will positively impact YOUR 'Healthy Habits' journey.

This challenge helped me immensely. I lost the 5% and have friends I can chat with about life. Had I not been chatting I probably would have gained weight. This group is like the Ultimate accountability challenge back in 2015. If you were part of them or would like to join a community that cares this is the group for you.

Life has not been easy for you (She's a caregiver for both her parents who are together) it is NOT easy, but she's right!! On this group/challenge/team we do support each other. You all know the nights you want to eat and eat and eat because of being upset? Sue that would of certainly of been easier, but!! You chatted with us, and we with you, you helped us, and we helped you. WOW AND the weight loss numbers built up, but WAY more so the support has helped each of us to grow as people while buying smaller clothes!0 -
Diane has been through so much, yet she demonstrates that even with tremendous obstacles, it can be done. She is a shining light in our 5% Challenge - always cheerful, faithful, encouraging, and caring.
Thanks, @Dianedoessmiles1 for demonstrating how to be successful in the midst of the "hards" of life, by choosing health and positivity and looking for alternatives when your path is blocked.

@DNjoys Aww TY TY TY TY!! Your own story is amazing also!!! I used to have a sign I made hanging on my wall for quite a while that said "CHOOSE YOUR HARD!" Indeed no matter what course we decide to take none of them easy, yet some of them are very rewarding as you also well know! TY TY TY!!

The 5% challenges keeps me accountable, helps me to not just go off the wall when things get tough. Here we are all in the same boat getting to or maintaining a new you. We all have slips and here you are not condemned for them instead it's encouragements you get to keep going. I'm happy you can state just about anything that is going on in your life and receive help with it. Iβm thankful the challenge is here. Come join us for the Spring challenge especially the Red Hots
