Eating away from home; what are some of the best snack foods to have in your hotel room?
Hi all, here's my dilemma* I travel quite a bit for my job. I'm gotten pretty good at selecting healthy choices around restaurants and team dinners. * My challenge is having quick snack foods in my hotel room. * Any ideas on healthy choices? Usually there's no fridge or kitchenette in the room. * I've tried mixed nuts but,…

Chocolate and carb cravings
Hi. This is Sele. I've successfully used fitnesspal in the past. And I saw results. But I always quit at some point and go back to bad habits. I don't have a healthy relationship with food. It's like all or nothing. My weight is always fluctuating. I can't seem to maintain when I lose weight. I raised my calorie goal from…

This time, I'm sticking with it
Hi everyone! I'm Chris. Just trying to cut this weight for good. I've had success in the past, but the hardest part is keeping it off. I turn 30 soon, and I'd like to finish this period of my life on a strong note, and hoping it carries over into a healthy new chapter.

Not looking to lose weight but want to tone my arms. Advice?
I’m 5’10 and 136 pounds. I’ve always had what I consider to be big arms (in proportion to the rest of my body). Are there any ways I can tone that area without actually losing weight overall?

How many calories for the shorter gals? :)
I'm 5'1 and I weigh a about 100 lbs. I'm trying to gain muscle on maintenance calories (recomposition) but I don't know if I'm eating too much, or too little. I've been eating around 1,600 calories and I while I don't want to lose weight, I want to lower my body fat %. I have gained a couple lbs since December, but I don't…

I Need Accountability
I’ve lost the motivation to keep working at my goals. My baby was born 6 months ago and my goal was to return to the level of fitness I had before I got pregnant. I am there, but I’m falling back into my old habits. Late night snacking and negative emotions around food throughout the day are a problem for me. There isn’t…

Note to self - you need to do more work!
I lost 65 pounds in about a year. I was at my goal of a healthy BMI. Then I thought I could ease up a little to see if I could maintain my weight. I couldn't. Slowly but surely my weight crept up and up. Each time I saw a gain or felt the clothes get tighter I thought, it's okay, I will just start again on (fill in…

Calorie Intake
The app suggests I intake 2500 calories a day to maintain my weight (I can only manage 1900). I literally would be stuffing myself to get those calories in me even though I have a healthy appetite. Once I have deducted 600 calories from my daily workout does this mean I will be a skeleton in 6 months?.

How do I know to cut or bulk first??
Hello everyone! I’m new to this app and need some answers! I am a pretty lean female with a little bit of a tummy and I believe I’m around the 25% BF. My goals are to lose the little bit of tummy fat, tone it up a bit, and build muscle throughout my body, getting a bigger butt would be a goal as well😂 Does anyone have any…

Losing too much weight, want to get back to my old body
Okay, so I've (19F) been losing a lot of weight recently. I got down to a healthy weight for my size. Only problem is, I kept going. Now, while technically at the smaller end of a healthy weight, I'm getting freezing cold really quickly to the point where blankets barely help and started getting intense cravings, (which…

Tasting food when cooking, for seasoning etc.
Hi I've been maintaining for about a year and a half, using MFP. I'm not looking to lose any more weight, but I calorie count pretty precisely to keep myself honest and avoid regain. (i.e. I usually weight out all the food, and then split it into 1 portion per gram, and then weigh my portions, so pretty precise). I'm…

Total, Natural, & Added Sugar
The reason I joined this site was to watch my glucose via carbs and sugar, but the food tracker doesn't distinguish between types of sugar. The way things are, I can be super strict about my sugar intake, but having an orange and an apple in a day will still read on the tracker in the negatives, as if I ate dessert all…

Setting goal calories on MFP
I'm trying to reset my goal calories on the MyFitnessPal app, now that I'm very close to goal and would like to know my maintenance calories. For information, I'm 51/F 5'2'' and now 128.8 lbs, down from around 216 lbs at this time last year. My goal weight is 125 lbs, which would make my TDEE around 1360-1375 depending on…

Nervous About Increased Calorie Budget
Since October 2021, I've lost nearly 25 pounds. Two of those pounds were lost in the last week. I read here a lot and I suspect I'm not eating enough even though I don't ever feel starved. I only have 15ish pounds to go, so this morning, I upped my calories by 100 because I'd rather be losing between 1/2 and 3/4 of a pound…

Maintaining Weight and Protein Amounts
Hi, I am female, 38yo, 5 foot 5 (65 inches or 165cm), 123 pounds (55.7kg or 8.7 stone). I exercise a "light" or "moderate" amount: 10,000 steps/3 miles walked at least 3 days per week, weight lifting 3 days per week but only for 15-30 minutes, plus regular activities like cleaning or gardening. A registered dietitian…
