Steps and calories

Hi, MFP is counting my daily steps and converting them into calories, but when I then go and do a workout to gain extra, the calories from my steps are removed. Why is this, why is MFP only counting the calories from my workouts and not steps? I am using Apple Watch and Iphone. Thanks.

This is totally normal- Your activity is still being accounted for even if you don't necessarily get an adjustment.
When adding in manual exercises, or syncing single workouts from other app partners, those calories are automatically added to your set daily burn total on your MFP account and nutritional adjustments are immediately given.
