I started a new phase of my lifting program so I'm back to 4 day splits. I plan on keeping it up as I get further along...obviously listening to my body. :)…

Hip pain, 1st trimester?
Hey everyone :) I'm pregnant with our first baby. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow, but my problem started clear back in the early first trimester. My hips ache and hurt when I walk for more than 10-15 minutes. :-/ I'm so bummed because I hoped to walk and jog for a long time yet and keep healthy that way. I didn't expect to have hip…

Struggling to sleep :(
Any tips on how to get a better nights sleep? Falling asleep is the easy part it's the staying asleep that I'm struggling with - I wake up more than 8 times during the night, 3 of which to empty my bladder. I'm now 35 weeks pregnant and still in full time work so I'm unable to have a lay-in or take a nap during the day if…

Exercise in the 3rd Trimester
I was very active before getting pregnant, running and weight lifting and doing yoga. I stayed active until about a month ago. I'm currently hitting 28 weeks. I started feeling a lot of fatigue and headaches about a month ago. I still got to the gym a couple times a week but not every day as usual, and my workouts had less…

Thoughts on homebirth (UK)
Hi, I'm just over 34 weeks pregnant with my first child and I'm thinking of having a home birth. Both my nan and mum had home births and hospital births and they both preferred the home experience. I'm low risk and the baby is healthy and happy so a home birth is an option, I also live less than 5 mins away from the…

Bloating, swelling, retention all over.
I am now 31 weeks along. This past week I have noticed my hips/pelvis, thighs and legs hurting SO bad when I lay down to go to sleep and hurting especially bad when I wake up... to the point that I dont even wanna walk. I have also noticed that my thighs have been getting more chubby and my ankles are definitely swelling.…

Bed rest :(
So I was diagnosed with two subchorionic hematomas and have been on bed rest since 7 weeks. I'm just a few days shy of 10 weeks now. I have been having weekly scans and baby is looking healthy! At 9w1d we had a 172 heart rate and lots of movement. Obviously the most important thing to me is listening to the doctor and…

math doesn't add up.
I'm so frustrated over here:( I'll try to be brief. Start pg 5'9", 186, BMI 27.5 By 20 weeks I was up 20lbs. Ten or more of this happened over the holidays (which is pretty typical for me to gain that much at the holidays even when not pg!) At 20 weeks I started getting grossed out, so turned to MFP and started being much…

Tummy support?
I am due in May and baby is already 4.15lb. I am working full time and trying to help my husband keep up with our 3yo. My back is killing me from holding this big boy up. I use a Belly Band but am thinking I might need to get something more supportive. Have any of you used any kind of harness or supportive belly belt? Any…

Home birth anyone?
Anyone here having a home birth? This is my third pregnancy and I am hoping to have one! My first two pregnancies ended up being inductions which were really hard! I hated the aggressiveness, the lack of privacy, and with my last birth...I felt very degraded by the doctors. So, home birth it is! I'm so excited! I'd love to…

Worried about not eating enough/gaining too much
I am currently 30w, 2 days pregnant with my first baby. Before I found out I was pregnant I was doing everything I could to lose weight. I am 5'11" tall. I started at 148 pounds as of May 2013. I started dieting big time right around that time, eating about 1200 calories a day, working 8 hours as a CNA and not eating no…

Brewer Diet
Anyone heard of or follow this? I have a lot of friends who are into Traditional foods who have followed it. I was into Traditional foods for a while myself (raw milk, grinding my own wheat to make bread, avoiding anything refined, eating healthy fats, etc), but haven't had the time or energy to keep up with it over the…

Why inadequate weight gain is dangerous for infants
Hi all.... I saw this article and thought I would share with you all. When I first found out I was pregnant after having lost nearly 60 lbs, it was so difficult to imagine gaining weight. The first two trimester, I ate at maintenance, but found myself continuing to gain weight no matter what. It really messed with my…

Calcium on MFP
I went to look and see what the calcium settings were to see if I wanted to adjust it to make sure I'm getting enough and it's just a percent. Does anyone know what they consider 100%? 1000mg? 1200? It knows I'm female, does it account for that? Thanks!

Exercise and exhaustion in the first trimester
Hi everyone! I haven't introduced myself before, though I've been in this group a few weeks now. But hi, I'm in my eighth week and now I have a question about exercise. But first, a little background... I started seriously using MFP last April, in part because my husband and I started to talk about having a baby and I…

Gestational Diabetes?
I had a urine test come back positive for sugars, G+1. Afterwards I received a letter in the mail stating that I needed to come in for the glucose tolerance test. Before I could go in I was hospitalized for some light bleeding and contractions and while in there my urine also registered G+1 and ketones. My blood sugar…

Help! Bra problems.
So, prepregnancy I was a 32F. If any of y'all are around the size, you know that can be hard to find that size. The town I live in happens to be just small enough that we dont have an Intimacy, Nordstrom, Victoria's Secret or any other specialty store. Dillard's is about the best we got in the way of a bra store. I also…
