March 2014 babies
Hi! I am new here. Anyone else get a + test for a March 2014 EDD? This was kind of a surprise for me, we weren't really trying for #2, and I kind of had my head wrapped around being one and done, but...here I am! I guess what can you expect with no birth control, eh? I was halfway to my goal on MFP when I got the +, so I…

New to fitness, what if I get pregnant?
So, hubby and I have been trying to start a family. I just started running this month, and started weight lifting (SL 5x5) this week. I want to know: how long should I have already been exercising at a certain level, before it's considered "continuing during pregnancy" (safe) vs "starting a new intense exercise plan" (not…

Hi ladies! I'm almost 22 weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy. I was getting into good habits while we were TTC, but once I got pregnant my energy went waaaaay down and I stopped my workouts. With that came bad food habits. Now that I've got my energy back, I really want to reintroduce healthy habits and stick with it…

kinda scared to exercise..
I've been ttc. I'm on the 2 week wait. Positive I'm pregnant, nausea, headaches, sore nipples, nipples look different, having cramps, can't stand some smells etc. I wasn't very active in my past 2 pregnancies and I'm kinda worried about doing too much. I've been lightly jogged and doing 30 day shred before now. I know they…

Help
Even though I work out and count calories, I've gained 21 pounds in the first 24 weeks. WAY TOO MUCH. I feel like this pregnancy weight gain is a monster I can't control. I feel scared of the weight gain to come and really discouraged. Any advice from anyone who's been pregnant before?

Strength training exercises in pregnancy
I'm 26 weeks pregnant today and have been doing strength training at the gym still - squats, lunges, weights etc - but I'm not sure what is/isn't safe at this stage. No-one at my gym is pre-natally trained, and the personal trainer I used to have isn't either, and won't do a session with me as he's worried about me and the…

Crunches?
I had a doctor appt on Monday and asked her about working out. She said whatever I have been doing, I can continue to do. I told her I have been doing crunches and she said I can still continue to do them, until I feel I can't anymore. Just wondering if anyone else has done, and continued to do crunches throughout their…

Introduction
Hello. I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. I have a little girl who is nearly 3. Right now I'm really struggling with morning sickness. Not nearly as much throwing up as I had with my first, but a lot of nausea and food aversions. Like, everything that isn't pasta, rice, or a baked potato. I'm not doing so…

Looking for pregnant friends!
I'm 10 weeks, due May 21. I've been in "survival mode" the last 4 weeks, just trying to stay alive as far as food goes. Thankfully, not too much throwing up... just lots of nausea and food aversion. I'd love to make some pregnant friends on MFP! It'll be nice to have someone to talk/relate to, sometimes my husband just…

Feeling guilty about gaining weight
Hi all, A little about me first... a year and a half ago I weighed my all time high and finally decided to do something about it . I joined MFP started watching what I ate and exercised more. My hard work paid off and I was able to lose 28 pounds as of this past September (my goal was to lose 35-40 lbs) so I got pretty…

At what point did you stop working out ?
Hey ladies, I just hit 30 weeks yesterday and I have to say that I am about to throw in the towel when it comes to working out. I have been doing so good the while time, working out anywhere from 30-60 mins most days of the week. It is getting increasingly harder though. With my first pregnancy I stopped at about 32 weeks…

New to the group...1st baby!
Hello all! I have been on MFP for awhile now, and lost 8 pounds carb cycling. I am now pregnant, and obviously not looking to lose weight. Just want to stay working out and eating right, so that the only extra weight is baby. I am older (41) and am starting ito the last week of my first trimester. Would love to…

Any twin moms-to-be trying to gain enough weight?
Hi there - I'm currently just over 17 weeks pregnant with twins (our first babies and a complete surprise!) and I'm worried that I'm not gaining enough weight. Before getting pregnant I had used MFP to lose 50lbs over the course of a year and was in the best shape of my life. So now it's strange to be trying to achieve the…

36 1/2 weeks, engaged and 2 cm dilated
I had my 36 week appointment today - first internal. Doctor casually tells me that the baby's head is engaged and I'm 2 cm dilated. I feel like I dilated for a long time with my daughter but wasn't this far along at this point. I can actually see that my stomach is smaller now up top (near my ribs) and he said that's…

New to the group and worried!
I am currently 249lbs and 5ft6. I found out tonight that I am approx. 4-6 wks pregnant with our 3rd child and I know it sounds selfish but as well as the practical aspect of fitting another child into our small home I am really worried about the implications this pregnancy will have on my health and my weight. I am 32 and…

Macros and Pregnancy
Hey ladies - where are your macros set? Currently, I have MFP guidelines but have been playing around with the idea of upping my protein. I've been terribly "snacky" mid-afternoon and am wondering if MFP's setting for protein could be why. Protein has always been a bit tough for me because I can't physically eat tons of…

Cardio options with SPD?
G'day I'm 28-ish weeks with baby #4 and have SPD. I have the 10 minute solutions prenatal pilates and element prenatal yoga dvds and generally do 30-60 minutes of one or both a day. I can't lift my feet off the ground in the hands/knees position or do some of the deeper stretches so I just modify. I can't walk for exercise…

Protein Powder
Hello all! Hope all is well with everyone  I'm having trouble getting enough protein (usually not the case, but since going maintenance, it's been harder to hit) and I'm getting tired of having the same stuff like eggs, pork, chicken, peanuts, etc. Especially pork. It's like any pork chop we cook and season I can't…

Introduce myself: long time MFPer, first time mum-to-be!

Advice on blabbermouths
I have told one person that I'm pregnant and that's my best friend. I know she would never say anything. There has been some speculation going on in my office between my manager and a couple coworkers but no one has come out and asked me so I'm not saying. I'm not ready to tell as I still don't know how far I am. Yesterday…
