PCOS and Ovulation
This may sound like an odd question to most women. But how do you know if you have ovulated? I have looked up several different methods to find out plus when I was going through marriage counseling we learned two different natural family planning methods. But when learning about these I don't recognize any of the signs. As…

Hi everyone! I originally posted this to the other PCOS group I'm in, but it doesn't have many members. Found this one later, so I thought maybe you ladies could help? *Side note, I did read the group description and know all of that basic knowledge. So, I've had PCOS for 10 years (I'm only 23) and I have had a bad issue…

Clomid Help
I just started clomid (50mg) on Sunday and I have a few questions. First my BMI is finally in the normal range 24.88 and was wondering if anyone knows if that will make clomid work any better? Second, my doctor started me on clomid without a period (after taking a pregnancy test that was negative) and was wondering if…

Cholesterol and PCOS/insulin resistance
Okay, I turn 34 next week. This Jan I went in for my yearly check up and my lipids were Trig: 286 and Chol: 198. So I really watched what I ate and started to exercise again. Well my re-check was this month. Trig: 431 and Chol:234. WTF! I have been watching what I eat, drink and exercising regularly. Can this be a "normal"…

PCOS and carbs?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has lost weight being insulin resistant with not going ultra low carb? I've been doing very low carb and I am miserable. I will do whatever I can to lose this weight but I hate not eating fruit or a dang English muffin if I want one. Your feedback is appreciated.

Exercising to Help Glucose Levels?
My doctor told me I would need to exercise for at least 30 minutes 5-6 days per week to help keep my glucose levels in check. I'm on metformin and progesterone for PCOS with insulin resistance. Since I already exercise, I didn't think to ask him why exercise would be beneficial as far as glucose is concerned. I just nodded…

Question about Met
I was browsing the threads in our group and noticed a ton with experience with the medication. How were you able to get your doc to give it to you? I've been trying for the last year and neither my gen doc or OB will hand me a Rx for it, but BC (which I'm allergic to) is what they constantly suggest. Any ideas, or maybe…
