Diet Pros Advice
My doctor and Nut are adamant that you have to get 60 protein grams from shakes daily forever. They say if you take in around 100+ grams in total you probably will absorb 60. Yes I had RNY. I have done really well but have yet to make this happen, keep at around 60 to 80 grams daily. So I wonder what those who have had…

Anyone interested in joining me on a Whole30 Challenge this January? No sugar, no alcohol, no grains, no legumes, no dairy. Lots of resources out there, tho this will be my first time doing it. Whole Foods Diet
I have been interested in eating healthier for many years, just never could pull it off. Recently I have seen too many family members get ill and in some cases recover with food not drugs. I am getting older (57) and really would like to fuel my body with nutrients that help with decease and not just weight loss. That…

3+ years post op. How do I return to the honeymoon period?
This summer has been a real struggle for me. I've gained 5 more pounds on top of the 5 I generally fluctuate. I'm up 10 pounds from my lost of 103 pounds. I'm struggling to find the motivation I need to get that 5 off. I want to return to the way I felt for the 1st year after surgery. I would have walked through fire to…

What are your macros?
I have no idea what my macros should be. Sleeved 1.5 years ago and aim for 60-70 grams of protein a day. How much fat? Carbs? I need to start logging my food again, especially now with all the holiday goodies around. Thanks!

Gastric Bypass Regain!
Hey all! My name is Courtney, I had my RNY 8/20/2015, and it was a struggle! I had a complication which ended me back in the hospital 2 days later and required a second surgery (not my surgeons fault, my own body was fighting against me) I was released 9/7/2015 and then began my journey! I did great, until I hurt my back…

Hair Loss
Has anyone else had significant problems with hair loss post op? I'm 6 months down the line and have lost just under 6 stone. I'm so pleased with my progress on this front but my hair has been falling out in clumps for a while and is starting to look quite noticeable. I'm going to get my hair cut to try and make it less…

Are you carb sensitive?
Carbs are my enemy!!! I notice if my carbs go above 75grams per day I gain weight. When I look at fluctuations in my weight and see a 5 pound gain my diet during that time has always had an increase in carbs. I talked with the nutritionist and she stated that some, not all WLS patients see a slow down in metabolism after…

To celebrate my scale victories and my non-scale victories (wearing a size 20, learning how to jog/run so I can run a 5…

Bariatric Eating Protein Shake Question - Flavors
Hey there - I haven’t loved most of the Bariatric Eating Shake flavors because they aren’t strong. Different Roads.
A friend of mine typed out a status that definitely spoke to me and reminded me that each person's road through life is different and it's good to remember that even though your road may parallel someone else's for a while, it's still slightly different. Your road is yours and yours alone. It may become bumpy, it may curve…

Intake Question
Ok I had surgery last Tuesday so I am just over a week out, at what point do you start drinking 2 ounces every 15 minutes? Little rant
The last few weeks have felt really crappy, between vacations when I was only 7 weeks post-op and my family drama and my husband who only wants junk food and pop, and my friends who I don’t see or talk too I feel crappy and lonely and a little lost trying to stumble my way down this new path in my life...
