Hey everyone, So I don't come on and post often but I am wondering when you found that your weightloss slowed? RNY october 2017 Lost 136 lbs... and in a stall and worried that I am not going to lose any more weight. My start weight was 384, current weight is 248. Thank you in advance.

Don’t get fixated on a number.
Many times, I think we lock into things we see instead of trusting our instincts. Some quote (and I don’t remember who said it) said we often do things because we “see things” instead of what we actually “hear or feel” and I actually, think that’s so true. I think many of us hear “You should lose this amount of weight…

Can I join?
My situation might be a little different. I had a total gastrectomy with roux en y due to a medical issue. This summer, I will be celebrating my 10 years of having surgery. I want to join because I get very disheartened to hear people say that surgery is the easy way out. From experience, I can say.."You must be kidding."…

400 to 26.2 - Marathon April 29
With my first FULL Marathon fast approaching I've been doing lots of reflecting on my life and health. Especially the changes that have occurred the past few years. Running (and hopefully completing) this Marathon will undoubtably be the biggest achievement of my adult life (I've never been married or have any children).…

Dr. Vuong’s video on not going to the gym
Has anyone seen Dr. Vuong’s video on not going to the gym or working out until you are at or near goal? I have been working out since early on. I am four months post VSG. I am currently stalled. I am not overly concerned about the stall. My doc said go back to liquids for a week, which I started today. However, Dr. Vuong’s…

Running?
I made it back to the gym today and this is a brand new gym that just opened. Since I am recovering from pneumonia and my hip bursitis is flared I decided to just go on the treadmill. These machines are new to me so I selected a program and it had me doing intervals of walking and RUNNING. I couldn’t figure out how to…

YouTube Channels?
YouTube videos have been a HUGE inspiration/help to me on this journey. I've loved watching people change, hearing about what they've gone through and admired their confidence in putting themselves out there. I went ahead and started my very own channel this morning too. I'm totally new to vlogging and very inexperienced.…

2 year surgeversary
So today is my 2 year surgeversary. It is amazing how far I have come, but if anyone is pursuing surgery or has had it, one thing that we all need to remember is that it’s a tool, not a guarantee. About a year ago I hit my max loss of 88 lbs but with some illnesses, vacations and stress I would be lying if I didn’t admit…

Have you been criticized for not doing it the "hard" way?
I sent a friend request to someone who writes a lot of blogs that are motivating so I thought I would "friend" her and then her posts would jump into my newsfeed. She deleted my friend request because I said I was prepping for the lap band surgery. And while she apologized for deleting me, she still made it clear that…

I am looking for friends to support each other along the way. A rant - Kicking my teddy bear.
Someone slap me upside the head for the messed up bariatric thinking. I took time off from the gym to heal from an injury and recurring cold. Bit of a weight gain (Eight pounds) I know I can get it back down. My messed up bariatric brain sees myself as large again. I know this feeling will pass. Ok, rant over.
