I wish I wasn't such a baby about the cold because I'd much rather be outside. I know my shoes are the majority of the problem. I will also try the compression socks...thank you!!

Being able to fit into my clothes better and wear styles I'm comfortable in are definitely motivators of mine!! Nothing wrong with wanting to look good and feel good about yourself as motivating factors.

And yes, I'm stretching before and after....

I had the same problem. Was walking the track everyday, but now that it's gotten colder, I've headed inside. The other problem I'm having is shin splints. If I had them before, they worked them self out after the first half mile, but now that I'm on the treadmill they seem to get progressively worse.....any suggestions??

I'm not one to preach because I feel the same way about myself, but you're a beautiful person inside and out. Keep telling yourself one day at a time. I know I have to. I got on the scale after 3 weeks and had only lost a pound! Not giving up though, and you shouldn't either. It's not going to happen overnight, but it's…

I have to say, as I get older, the goal weight gets higher..... 5'4" CW: 178 GW: 130 (ultimate GW, I have set a current GW as 140/145)

Nighttime is the worst for me...especially after the kids are in bed! I did well Thanksgiving (ate on a small plate, didn't go back for seconds), but had a horrible weekend!! I tried to have the same attitude on Monday - today's a new day!

My workplace is doing a Christmas challenge where you're given a new challenge each day in the month of dec and the idea is if not to loose weight, then to at least maintain it. Not all the challenges are fitness related (dec 1 was to create and budget your xmas list) - but some are. Day 2 was to ADD an extra mile each day…

You all look amazing!! Thank you for the inspiration!! At 5'4" I hope to achieve what you all have accomplished!! You should be VERY proud of yourselves.

I loved your story...too funny!! I love meat btw. Couldn't give it up for anything!

I used to do WW in the past and always allowed myself a cheat day. Now I keep it to just a cheat meal, but it helps me to stick with it. I know that no food is a bad food, as long as you account for it, but it's nice to have one meal where you're not counting calories (or points). If there was something I wanted that I…

I do the same and it seems to work pretty well. I'm 5'4" and have the same issue.

They also used a great comparison asking if it would be easier to eat 3 donuts or 3 apples. I have to agree, I have a hard time believing someone could eat 3000 calories in fruit without feeling so full they feel sick...but who knows!

I'm about the same weight, only I'm 5'4" and 35. When I was in my 20's I was between 125-145 lbs. I also ate til I was overly full & as long as I walked once in a while, I was fine. Amazing how you hit 30 and the metabolism comes to a halt!! I'm on day 9 now though and I'm determined. I keep a pic of myself nearby as a…

I always warn my family, never attempt to eat off my plate while I'm dieting/counting calories. If I accounted for that plate of food - I'm eating every darn bite, and loving it!

Definitely drink water if you are able to, but another suggestion might be to keep as busy as possible. I'm not sure what kind of job you have, but I find if I'm on the slower side my thoughts often wander to food. Even busy work so that you're doing something to keep your mind off eating and from watching the clock! :)

Reubens are my FAVORITE and I'm from New England. Looking forward to trying the soup!!

Careful eating too much tuna. My brother used to eat a can a day and ended up with mercury poisoning....

Pita wraps! Pitas are also great for pizzas and bake them to make chips with salt or cinnamon and sugar. I like a half a pita as a pocket for my tuna and stuff it with lots of veggies too.

one word...LAZY! My 19 year old daughter goes to college FULL TIME (16 credit hours every semester), works full time and still finds time to walk with me. She hates to exercise, too, but she understands that's its good to do it.[/quote] You're not lazy and don't let anyone compare themselves or what their life is like to…
