  • Hi, I'm also 54 years old. But I would like to lose 40-45 by June 15th, which I is do-able, but I'd take 30! Looking forward to succeeding with this group.
  • Hi All, Excited to see this group and looking forward to getting to know everyone as we work toward our goals! I'm 51 and doing an intensive 12 week challenge. I can't jog/walk/precor or stair step for fitness right now, but I can do a stationary bike, row and weight train. I am 20-25 pounds overweight right now. Body fat…
  • I am 5'7" also and have had 2 C-sections...I have the roll, it gets smaller when I'm thinner but it's still there and it's mainly skin so what to do, not having surgery. I can still wear a two piece especially if the bottom have a wider hip cut and a double band of material around the top part. I just make sure I'm…
  • Wow!!! Amazing job you've done. Very inspiring. I am curious how tall you are though if you would not mind sharing? Thanks for sharing your success.
  • You are doing great and look good! KEep it up!!
  • Hi, I would like to join here. My goal is actually 15 by April 1st I hope that's okay. Height 5'7" SW - 159 CW - 158.5 GW- 140 I will achieve this goal by increasing activity, eating decent food, tracking intake and drinking water. Linz.
  • I am like you, all or nothing it seems to be many times. I don't preach no soda, but I do think it's hard for our bodies to process, causes water retention bloating, chemicals and keeps the sweet tooth thing going which I have a problem with.
  • I have given up diet soda for the most part. I'll have it if I want to though every once in while. What I have been learning to like is Seltzer/soda water, because a big part of what I like is the carbonation/fizz factor. Do I LOVE seltzer? No. Have I learned to like a little more? Yes, plus...I'd rather have seltzer than…
  • If you were to cook up some chicken breasts, you could have pieces of that in your salad, you could make sandwiches with it. Ifyou don't cook much, go buy a roasted chicken at the store and use meat from that, to eat with your dinner, in your salad, in a sandwich. Another option if you dont' cook is to buy precooked,…
  • Wow!!! YOu look GREAT!!!!!
  • Think about the friends in your life. They are your friends because you like them, you like their personality, they loving, kind and fun. This description probably fits all of you as well. People will like you for you whether you weigh 20 plus pounds more than you should or no. Go ahead and start your weight loss journey…
  • What about getting your body fat % measured in a tank? And then working to change that number a little bit...if it needs changed. If you're in a good place, that may take you a while and it's not something you can or should check daily so it would be something to work toward and check on in say 4-6 months?
  • I don't think it's vital. I don't know if there's true science behind this but I read in one eating program that part of the benefit of doing this, waiting at least 2-3 hours between eating was for digestion and for your body to supposedly use more fully/effectively what you consume as opposed to snacking constantly and…
  • For me....a dollop of sour cream and salsa on top. Sounds weird I know but I love this on my omelettes or scrambled eggs.
  • Have you ever tried looking at your body but standing on something or angling the floor mirror so you can't see your head, only your body? I know this sounds bizarre but it tricks your brain a little because it's like you're looking at somebody elses body and I think you might find you are way less critical. Remember,…
  • I'm 5'7" tall and have a larger frame, broad shoulders, hips, larger wrists, and ankles. I set my goal weight how I look and feel. I weighed less in high school and college, 125 and under, but I don't even know that I could get to that and it was probably too thin. Post college I've weighed 130 to 170. I look great at…
  • Sorry..here's something else. One is I've done WW before and been successful but am trying this now. I've found the tracker very easy to use here, it has found everything I've put in. Also we don't eat that differently day to day and you can go to your previous days stuff and click on the items to add to the current day.…
  • While I do believe getting older can make losing weight difficult I do not agree with your chiropractor at all. There is a free BMR calculator at www.bmrcalculator.net and this site probably uses the same way to calculate. Two people may be the same age, height, weight and have the same BMR but lose weight at different…
  • Did you happen to take any of your measurements before you started working out? Sometimes those are changing when the scale is not budging. Also agree with the other poster maybe you're over estimating your calorie burn, this happens a lot on many programs. If you haven't cut out drinking diet soda try that, switch to…
  • You have done an amazing job and have such a great attitude!! You go girl!
  • I like your attitude. Now is the time and you can do this.
  • I agree with previous poster..I'm an 1 barely b cup and have had success with Title9. It's been a few year since I purchased, but this one looks most like a clasp one I have and it works. 10 http://www.titlenine.com/product/310908.do?sli=Small_Black_0&kwd=small+cup+clasp+sports+bra#.VLNLsq10y1t I think it's called the…
  • Youtube is your friend here. Also maybe do some research and purchase current "how to" weight training book. Using these two tools and also watching how other people are doing their exercises, or even spying on a trainer working with a client you can learn exercises. Don't have to stalk them, just keep an eye out, if…
  • About 10 pounds for most people...including myself. But I think your structure and where you carry your weight make a difference too. I can lose 30 pounds but my pant size really only changes once from a 10 to an 8.
  • Look at you enjoying the prime of your life in tip top shape! You will look back and have no regrets. You go girl!!
  • Hi, I'm older and still have lots to learn but I have a few thoughts on this. First of all I would not try to totally cut out treats and would allow things in moderation. Look at what you like to snack on, look at the food values, see if there's something similar that is not quite as "bad" that could satisfy your craving,…
  • You look great!! Nice work!!
