Yes! I find it way difficult to lose and keep off the weight. People say as long as your meds are right you shouldn’t have a problem. Doctors can’t agree on what is right. I find that when I stay low carb higher protein I do much better. However when I have too many carbs gaining will be quick. No thyroid is different than…

Thank you for sharing this! It is very inspiring and I needed the reminder!

I'm on bit for the rest of my life for my back....and because I run low. I think my iron was gone but I'd have to check.

Yes, she is. I know it's only been a week, but I feel pretty good. I can also eat things I couldn't before... I know this has nothing to do with the meds, but anyone have radio iodine and their taste comes and go? I had it in January, I'll get my taste back but then it goes again.

I've finally convinced my dr to let me try T3. She still doesn't think it'll help because my symptoms were there before the cancer...(which I think we'll duh, I was hypo before finding the cancer). I'll pick it up later today. Thank you all for the info!

I agree with all that's been said. If you can make it a family thing thing maybe you could also get more sleep. Other option would be to consider another job with hours that fit what you want.

I would live more info. What test do they run to check the conversion of t4? As far as I know they don't run any t3 test. They did lower my meds a bit. I know my memory is shot....especially short term and causes so many problems. Cold all the time, and losing weight is a huge fight. Would t3 aid memory?

Hi! I had my thyroid removed last year due to cancer. I've talked to my dr about the T3 and they won't give anything but levothyroxine. Any suggestions? This is my 2nd endocrinologist. Is there a natural t3?

I turned 40 this year. Still need to lose 50-60lbs. Add me if you'd like.

I have hypo due to thyroid cancer and no thyroid. I've found that drs are not very helpful (at least so far) and that low carb works the best for me. I do better with under 1300 calories but if I exercise sometimes can eat 1400-1500.

Why am I doing this? I would like to feel good in my own skin. To not feel like a disappointment. I'd like to not get those looks from family members. I want to be healthy. I would like to not be in pain.

I've had 2 back surgeries and my thyroid removed due to cancer. Pain and exhaustionis are daily struggles. I finally came to a point after this last surgery that I'm going to push through it (some days ...like today it's rough). My endocrinologist has told me I won't be able to lose much more than 20# due to my metabolism.…

I try to drink a dessert tea or if that doesn't work brush my teeth. Food doesn't taste good then.

Needed that! I have doctors telling me since I have no thyroid I won't be able to lose weight. It's a huge struggle, but it's coming off very slowly.

I'm a numbers person as well. It's funny how stress can affect our bodies...or lack of sleep or anything really. I've started tracking my measurements because I'm able to see results that way.
-
22lbs is a great start! Keep at it! I've not lost that much, but I've been keeping measurements... that way when I get discouraged the #'S aren't coming the inches are.

☹️I will be praying for you and your family.

All about that base.... because it cracks me up as I run!

Not sure how to send friend request, but feel free to add me. I'm looking to lose 40-60lbs and also need motivation/encouragement.

Please add me, too. I'm not sure how to add friends though.

Is it still possible to be adopted? I'm somewhat new here. Have had an interesting year health wise. Diagnosed with thyroid cancer last November. Had thyroid removed a week later. RAI in January. At the end of March I had second back surgery. I've been consistently logging on for about month and a half. Working out 2x day…
