  • Soreness is part of any good workout! Make sure it's soreness and not other kind of pain. If something hurts and feels painful then that's not soreness. When you stretch your sore body, it should feel great! If it does not, then you may want to see a doctor. I have been a gym goer for now 8 years.
  • A quote I read a few days ago...this is for you and all of us: In the end, people will judge you anyways, So don't live your life impressing others, Live your life impressing yourself. ---Eunice Camacho Infante P.S.: I'm a regular gym-goer, and I see that people are engrossed in their workouts. Most people are there to…
  • I think what you can do here is to stop telling him and stop educating him for a few weeks. He will start to wonder sooner or later about you not talking to him about healthy eating etc., continue to talk about other stuff as normal. He will feel less pressured and may become open to accepting a more healthy lifestyle.…
  • I don't know what Carnivor is, so don't know what to say about it. Eating healthy food will help you lose weight. Combination of all three - eating right, excercising and relaxing will help you lose weight over time. Be consistent and that really is key!
  • That's the way to go!!! Once you start loving good healthy foods, you'll not want to eat the unhealthy foods! At restaurants too, you'll balance your meal! Once in a while it's not a bad idea to enjoy something "bad" too...within safe limits...through portion control!! Have fun!!
  • It could be somewhere in the middle. I think if you put your weight and age in the treadmill calorie counter, you'll get better calorie burnt number.
  • What kind of motivation are you looking for?
  • I lost about what you are working on losing. I didn't have MFP back when I started several years ago. When the children were two and three, my workout journey began. I started very small with running 10 minutes on the treadmill at home. I kept that going and made it part of my daily schedule. Then I started to go to my HOA…
  • I workout regularly and relax on the weekends. Working out everyday is strenuous on your body. Your muscles need some relaxation. You are doing great working out, but everyday may be toouch. Weekends are to enjoy. Just enjoy within a good limit:). You are eating healthy during week days and that's great!!
  • Great!!! I'm 5'1" also. And, I too workout & eat healthy!!! It's a great journey!!! Congrats!!
  • You will only be able to do something about your body once you love your body! When you love someone, you go towards the person and you make yourself look your best!!! When you hate you steer away...and that's what's happening right now. First get yourself mentally prepared for this weight loss journey. Let yourself know…
  • I do Les Mills classes as well. I do three days of Pump and three of RPM. Then Body Flow once in two weeks. I walk everyday for two to three miles. I am at the weight I wanted to be...maintaining now! It's all in how you challenge yourself with weights in Pump & pace in RPM!! I've been doing this for now seven years and…
  • Yes, the trick is continuing with your great workout routine and eating healthy filling meals which help you maintain that calorie deficit. A great addition to your workout would be to challenge yourself a bit...this will make you burn more calories and you will see a change!
  • Have your cheat meal, once a week. But make sure you workout really hard! Life is about enjoying too!!
  • Biochem has great whey protein!!
  • Best will be to have a routine!!! Definitely!! Schedule your day for your activities and rest periods. Then follow it. Make a weekly schedule every week. Even if it is the same activity everyday, still write it. When done with that activity, cross it off on your schedule. You will see that you accomplished something, and…
  • I'm a Fitbit & MFP user. It'll be nice to share healthy eating tips, and to motivate each other.
  • We can share tips and ideas! I would love to share my healthy and delicious cooking ideas! I love to cook. Let's be friends!!:)
  • I just finished writing to my MFP friends. One thing I have noticed also is that rarely anyone writes back. I get 'likes'. No one has time I guess. Quick & easy is what people want. Oh well, I'll keep writing...I love to write:)
  • Keep on it!! You can definitely do this!!
  • Add me as a friend:)
  • I do a balance eating really. But would like to check out what you do for low carb eating:)
  • How about a soup smoothie...since you are not a sweet fan. You can make a soup with lentils, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, lemon juice, salt, pepper. Once the soup boils for a several minutes and lentil is soft and veggies are tender blend. Cool chicken breast in a pan. Shred the chicken breast once it cools down. Sprinkle…
  • If your meals are basic, you can tell what ingredients are in them...you can then add to MFP. Just start with what you can work with. It's all going to help. Using MFP is a good habit to have! It tells you your fat, carb and protein intake on a pie chart and you can see in one quick glance what you need to eat more of or…
  • Great snack!! You did great
  • "It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop." ---Confucius So friend, start something now that will help your health and body, and do not stop. Do one thing good for yourself every day. Keep a list of all the good things you did. Look at it after a week... You will get motivated seeing what you did!…
  • Marissa, Read this guys blog, ontheregimen.com...he wrote a great simple article on macros. His article is titled: HOW TO COUNT YOUR MACROS (A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE). Btw, yogurt is great. You need to make sure you eat good food. Dump junk food!! If you must eat junk food, then manage eating them. Like eat fried food once a…
  • For fiber... You are eating fruit and veggies!! They are great source of fiber. Kidney beans are great too. Add nuts to your diet as well...they make you feel full and you will not feel hungry fast. What calorie amount do you eat in a day?
  • You have received great advice from SherryTeach and gummyy_bear_ninja:). A healthy diet is the best diet. On your plate make sure 1/4 is lean protein, 1/4 complex carb and 1/2 of your plate pcked with green leaf veggies. I agree that walking is s great excercise. Of course, you can go to the gym too. I love going to the…
