Wasn’t that just because they thought that everyone was getting their beans as canned, sugary baked beans, so they didn’t want to say it counted as more? It was the same reason as not counting potatoes, so people wouldn’t be counting fries as vegetables.

I actually agree. After the initial tasting I wasn’t sure about the crunch, but I keep going back to get more, lol! I put all three flavours in jars in my cupboard and seems like every time I pass by I grab a few. Good thing the bags were fairly small!

Found CoolWay in Calgary at Co-op. $5.99, regular price. I looked at Walmart, Sobey’s, and Safeway, none of them had it, even though Sobey’s and Walmart are supposed to. Co-op had every flavour. (It was the Co-op in Rocky Ridge, I’m just assuming all locations carry it).

I know what you mean. I grew up in the US and Canada, and shopping in Canada was always so boring! I haven’t been out of Canada since 2005 and threads like these make me want to go back home for more reasons than just missing home. I’m especially jealous of the ice cream selection I saw upthread.

I have a smoothie almost every day for breakfast. Fruit, Greek yoghurt, and protein powder. I’ve tried various vegetables in my smoothie before and it’s always disgusting, so I use fruit only.

All of this, plus buying meat when on sale. I look for meat that is not only on sale, but reduced further for a quick sale because it’s nearing its expiry date. I have a very tight food budget and this is how I buy meat.

I’ve done the “eat whole foods only” and 1200 calories is still hardly any food. :confused: And there’s nothing wrong with eating more than 40g of fat a day.
