I’m just about to start up my 5:2 again which is 500 calories 2 days a week and eating at maintenance 5 days a week. I had great results last time and learned a lot about the difference between being hungry and thinking I’m hungry.

I feel constantly tired and sore. But I’m pushing myself with my weights. However the soreness extent is a lot lessened if I stretch and foam roll after each session. Beat up? Not so much. But there are certain times when I’m feeling really tired and beat up, that’s usually my indicator that I’m working too hard

I try to get in at least a half hour walk each day. My mum and I go on a bush walk in a different national park once a month. We are slowly getting through a long bucket list of ones we want to visit. Those walks generally take the whole day. I pay for them the next day lol. But I’ve gotten some beautiful pictures

Me either. That was a god video though. I got a few points from it. Especially do not move the barbell

I have type 2 bipolar disorder and I know that for me personally exercise works wonders for my mental state. But when I’m down I couldn’t be f’d exercising. Even though I know it will make me feel better. Pushing myself to get off my butt and even just going for a walk makes me feel better. Hunni if you are feeling…

Monday , Wednesday and Friday I lift. Depending on my work schedule I either walk the kids to school or walk there to pick them up. - that’s about a 45 minute walk. My workout schedule is simple and I love it. However everyone is different and a lot of people would get quite bored with my schedule lol. I’m a nurse. I get…

I’m a fellow female lifter  I’m loving the feeling of awesomeness that comes with it. Also as a nurse in an aged care facility I strongly advise weight lifting to as many people as I can. It does wonders for our bones as well. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/9927006/

Lol. My squats are so little compared to you ladies!!! I’ve recently come back to lifting after taking a break for 18 months due to mental health. I’ve made it so far to 40kgs (88lbs) I’m doing my StrongLifts 5x5 so I completely deloaded. I’m hoping to build it up slowly and steadily. You guys are my inspiration

Me!! Me!! Feel free to add me ladies. I’ve finally been able to start lifting again. I have a home gym - squat rack / bench press safety thingie, bars, weights and an evil dreadmill. I religiously follow StrongLifts 5x5 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I’d love more friends that lift

As an idiopathic toe walker here. I understand what the said about you being beyond stretching. I also understand the frustration in yoga and Pilates. Especially when the instructor is a douche and just tells you to “just put your heel down” uh it won’t go down!!!! Best of luck in your recovery

I want to stabilise my bipolar. Lift at least my body weight in my StrongLifts I want to enter into tough mudder however that may need to wait for 2019 depending on where I am mentally and physically. I want to be able to run 5k

You didn’t fail. You just paused and rewound a little bit. Start up again and you will get there!! Try not to be so hard on yourself. Don’t let anyone dim your shine.

Lifting weights especially the heavier side of things is a brilliant way for me to de stress. Some of my best pb’s were after a really bad day at work. I go to the gym before work. My workmates can tell by how stressed I get throughout the day if I’ve been or not lol. I take my anger out on the weights but I also use them…

Bipolar with mad anxiety here. When I’m not too down I lift weights. The bad thing is that I know that for me exercise will help to pull me out of my black cloudy pit. But when I’m in my pit, I couldn’t be bothered and I’m too scared of everything else to even attempt to lift weights in public. So it’s like a cycle that…
