Mine was 700+ but then I had a baby and somehow lost 3 days in a post-caesarean daze!

I do low carb vegetarian. It's not always easy but it's definitely the WOE that makes me feel the best!
-
I'm in Australia so can't really help but I get mine from specialty vegan shops so might be worth investigating those :)

Beyond Meat products - I like the 'chicken strips' that are 20g protein per serve and only ~120 calories from memory.

Yes, that's not a great website. If you're interested in investigating further, I really like the Diet Doctor website. I'm a medical professional as well and I like their evidence based medicine approach, in fact I told a patient about their visual guides today: https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/vegetables Having a look…

Yes, it's absolutely a case of finding out what works for you, which was what my rambling point to the OP was lol. I couldn't cope if I wasn't able to eat nuts and seeds, they form so much of my diet! I aim for 80g of protein per day or 25% of my daily allowance and usually manage to hit it, but I do have to eat specific…

Well, I'm a vegetarian lowcarber (maybe keto-er, I aim for 30-40g net carbs per day) who eats lots of vegetables and has IBS. It's taken me a bit of trial and error to figure out what works for me. I've given an example below. I find the biggest trigger for my IBS in this diet are not the healthy veggies but sugar…

When you say "started to track again", I think that's the key. I don't lose any weight (keto or not) if I don't track what I'm doing - calories and macros. In addition, most of us women find that our weight loss isn't linear in keto. I know that I stall for 2 weeks around my period and then drop after that.

There is so much competing information about fats. I dont' eat meats but do eat cheese, cream and grass-fed butters every day but like to use nut oils as my main fat source and use La Tourangelle walnut, pistachio, pecan, almond oils on my salads. I also eat quite a few pumpkin seeds as a healthy source of fat.

I used https://www.dietdoctor.com/

Well done on getting back into it!

Slightly off topic, but I made this Keto German Chocolate Cake for NYE and it was really nice! https://alldayidreamaboutfood.com/keto-german-chocolate-cake-recipe/

You don't have to lose 32kg....you just have to lose 1kg 32 times over...I know that sounds facetious, but try making little mini goals for yourself, say 5kg weight loss and planning a nice treat as a reward, such as a massage, manicure, new book etc

As a vegetarian, I struggle to eat sufficient protein too. Sometimes a protein shake works for me, I don't rely on them or have them daily but it's just an easy, palatable choice which helps me with my macros.

I can't imagine that Tylenol has any carbs in it. Sounds like a cold to me, rather than the Keto flu.

50g is still considered a very low carb diet by many researchers. My OBGYN suggested a "very low carb diet" to me as part of my IVF treatment and I was amazed that the suggestion was to eat 80-100g carbs per day! I eat 40g per day which is a nice level for me as I'm vegetarian. As for 'cheat' days - yep, they happen. I've…

Just had a quick glance over your diary and the foods you are eating would not keep me full or satiated in the least! I would follow the advice given above and focus on getting the carbs low, the protein and fats higher and sticking to the 1200 calories.

I use it in this recipe for Keto 'Fruit' Hot Cross Buns: https://www.madcreationshub.com/recipe/mad-creations-keto-hot-cross-buns-2/

You can do it! I've lost almost 18kg using MFP. It really does work. Feel free to add me as a friend :)

Well done Violet! Great to hear about the positive update!

Biggest NSV for me recently was that I don't crave sweets as much as I used to and my sweet tooth seems to be much downgraded. I recently went on vacation and stayed at a very expensive private suite within a resort that included all day free flow French champagne, brunch, high tea, canapes and they even left a box of…

Please don't feel silly. I think dieting brings up a lot of emotional issues and trauma for many people, especially those of us with a history of disordered eating in the past. We are all here to support one another. I also struggle with feelings of being deprived due to a history of being put on restricted diets as a…

Low carb can play havoc with several kinds of medications, so if you're on anything regular it's probably worth speaking to your doctor about that. Here is a useful article (but, of course, disregard if it doesn't apply to you)…

NAFLD can be managed with a keto diet, however I am guessing the concern your doctor has is not the NAFLD as such, but your problematic gallbladder. The role of the gallbladder is to store bile and concentrate it - the bile is then released in response to chemicals in your stomach. The problem with a keto diet that is high…

I wanted a lot of bland foods when I was pregnant and had morning sickness, I ate lots of plain, raw almonds and other nuts as well as seeds (and crackers made from seeds). Also, low carb yoghurt with low carb granola. For colds and 'flus, I would recommend doing a low carb soup option.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but if you're craving breads, muffins and cakes - have them...just make sure they are low-carb or keto versions. I have a massive sweet/carby tooth and I've managed to stay LCHF for several months by doing a bake on the weekend and then having a small dessert every day, but ensuring they…

I'm definitely going to get that book, sounds great. I just found it on Scribd. Anecdata: I am sure I was eating >500 extra calories a day at some stages in my life, probably even >1000 on some days! Not so hard to do when you think about large coffees with full cream milk and easy access to palatable, energy dense foods -…

I'm doing some research into the ketogenic diet for a thesis at the moment and came across some info which reiterates your original point FIT_Goat. The original protocols of the diet (designed in the 1920s for epileptic children) were designed to be eucaloric (with no weight loss). However, a side effect of lowering carbs…

Oh I can't wait to try these black soy beans! Unfortunately I can't find them ANYWHERE in Australia (and I google monthly lol). Even iHerb doesn't have any :( We are lucky with some great LC products here but I can't wait to try these one day when I can get hold of them.
