  • My schedule didn't allow much time for exercise before, but as I enter into semi retirement next week I'll be adding a ton more exercise so I'm exited to see the added benefit of it will be. Calories in/ Calories out still applies but the slowing of my metabolism hasn't happened like it would with a moderate carb intake…
  • I have a 1 year old and a 3 year old. They see me eating this way and they start to follow. But I eat usually separate from them, I prep my food before each week and have the whole week planned out. They still eat however they want. There is a recipe called fat head pizza crust. We make pizza on that. The whole pizza has…
  • Cut out sugar. Stick to 25 grams or less per day which is the WHO guidlines for adults

  • OP here Lol. I'm now on day 91. Down to 186.6, and 35lbs down total since starting. I have to laugh looking back at the comments. I re read my original post and still am unable to see where I said other methods are incorrect for everyone. Hell, I even mentioned how I lost weight 30lbs the conventional way of just eating…
  • She can always get a second opinion.
  • I agree with the comments above. And even if you do get more fats in your diet, if you're full at 1000 calories, your full. Don't stuff your self just because x calorie goal.
  • Chia seeds and flax seeds have good protein and omega3. I believe many vegans use those as a replacement to nutrients fish have. Lmao at pop tart in the mix. I'm hoping that was a personal request for something dessert like and not something for nutritional purposes.
  • Salmon and any other fish really, beef, chicken, lamb, bacon,Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, celery, romain, spinach, cucumber, zucchini, olives, avocados, peppers, garlic, all types of berries, nuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, eggs, heavy whipping cream, cheese, butter, olive oil, coconut oil, and water. There's my…
  • http://www.m.webmd.com/diet/features/health-benefits-wine Lol. I'm guessing that it helps mostly because it relaxes the body and thins the blood making it easier on the heart. Just my opinion though
  • This is from back in 2013 for me. The ups and downs are using CICO (calories in/calories out) and exercise. The current down is low carb high fat with very little exercise, I am in keto. You can see how rapid the weightloss is in keto for me. Do your research, especially when it comes to the low carb flu. There is also a…
  • People can get into a plateau because the body's metabolism can slow. Body may need more time to adjust to the new weight. 40 lbs is commendable!
  • http://www.livestrong.com/article/305274-does-10-glasses-of-ice-water-burn-300-calories/ You're right. I never actually looked it up before. Didn't question it since I wasn't interested in doing it lol
  • Yeah it's not for me, but My mom does this, but she does it in 1/2 gallons at a time. I also met a guy In Florida that does it everyday and he does drink it all at one time. They're still alive. I just mentioned it because it is a thing people do. Other than that I wouldn't know why someone would drink 2 gallons a day,…
  • Boiled eggs, broccoli, sardines, avacado every day
  • Diet sounds like it's well balanced. If you're counting calories and it's really only 1000 or less and you're not hungry I wouldn't worry about it. Listen to your body.
  • It probably works because you get so sick of potatoes that you skip meals. Sounds boring to me but if it works you'll have to share
  • Yeah I would ask the same thing. You can do what you want but I've been hearing that when a person drinks tons of water they are just flushing out a lot of their electrolytes. Now I know there is a life hack where if you drink 1 gallon of ice cold water it will burn 300 calories because your body has to rise that to the…
  • People put it In their coffee for flavor. It, along with other fats, makes me feel full for longer periods of time which helps me cut down on cravings.
  • I'm in ketosis and love it, but it's really just a side effect of really clean eating for me. Here's my dessert I like: 3 squares of 85% or more dark chocolate 1 cup raspberries 1 cup heavy whipping cream Blend until you get whipped cream consistency I have thought about putting this in the freezer and trying it that way,…

  • I had blue apron. It was good. No problems, and if there was an issue they made it right. Portions are a little small IMO. You pay for the convenience
  • For sure. I've been eating higher fat and It makes me more full and I end up not feeling the need for dessert. Anytime I eat dessert it just makes me more hungry for dessert. Lol
  • Added sugars are what really matter In a healthy lifestyle. The world health organization says to stay under 25 grams of sugar a day. If you can do that your probably ahead of 99% of Americans

  • Why fear the fat?
  • I recently read an article about body set points. Basically what the article said was that you'll hit plateaus and it will take 4-6 weeks for your body to recognize the new weight as your set point. Then you'll be able to go down again. It was a runtastic article.

  • Up in the UP
  • I use it. But it's summer now. Rather be outside. November I'll be back on :-)
  • Yeah... Avoid really working out for the first 2 weeks. The "carb flu" can be brutal.
