  • Has anyone experienced insulin spikes when liquifying fibres that wouldn't otherwise have that effect?
  • Thankyou for sharing and congrats on the lift and lifts to come! I am 9 months into recovering from tearing both shoulders and some days are extremely frustrating but it is refreshing to read about your success :-) all the best.
  • This thread is great I often wonder what the stories are behind each name. Mine is Msvino because I drink to much red wine
  • That sounds like quite a challenging journey! Keep on keeping on and I hope your determination to stick with LC betters your health very soon :-)
  • I've experienced the same but once I cut the stevia sweetner I was using it settled. Be careful with your smoothies, blending 4 or more carbs every fibrous veg can cause a blood glucose spike and increase hunger. Goodluck and great job on the 25 lb so far!
  • I recently did the same for almost a month I was on and of low carb, more off then on and just couldn't work out why I wasn't able to get it together. Finally I worked out that it was my all or nothing attitude. I gave myself a break and said to myself I can not change the decisions I made yesterday only the ones I make…

  • Hi there, just out of curiousity how long after returning to normal diet and exercise did it take each of you to rid the excess water?
  • Carb refeed works well for me as I lift heavy and find it gives me a nice reboot , 3rd one since going keto and no probs back into keto within a few days and felt fine. potassium and sodium are all good so hopefully sorting my Mg helps.

  • I'm also curious to see the effects adding the sup has to bowel movements. I've been fortunate enough to not experience and discomfort or constipation since going keto but don't toilet as often now. This doesn't concern me at all as I know I'm now consuming more nutrient dense foods but I've read a lot of people experience…

  • Ahhhh yes makes sense! From what I've read after taking a Mg sup the change is apparent and almost immediate please let me know how you go once commencing them again as I won't be starting mine till the weekend :-) best of luck. I now feel really bad for all the *kitten* I've given my bf over the years while watching her…

  • Just as a side not I've not only changed up my cardio up to lower the stress I was putting on my body but also eliminated caffeine a week ago as I felt that was driving my cortisol right up.

  • Hi there thankyou for your response :-) can I ask you to explain why after 4 months of keto well under 20 carbs a day I'd have ''readily available sugar stores'' and where these stores would have been hiding? I did notice a big hormonal change about 3-4 weeks ago where I started light spotting even while not due and being…

  • Thankyou for the input :-) yes I'm going to try a few weeks with a sup I think. Seems to tie in with some hormonal changes I've been experiencing recently which makes sense. Also I've noticed over exercising (loooong brisk walks 2+ per day easily) seems to deplete what Mg I am consuming when my bodies stressed so I've…

  • Please only comment in relation to my status I wasn't asking how people felt about low carb. Thankyou for all other responses :-) seems everyone differs quite a bit, personally after 4 months keto I've found I've had an extended period but not heavy at all which is unusual and I'm on the pill but otherwise I feel great so…
  • Yes I have been for two weeks now on a keto diet, my window is 20/4 first meal straight after gym at 4pm then another by 7pm. Have not had much of an appetite and seem to train well fasted also enjoy the large meals :-)
  • Haha :-)
  • Hi there :-)
  • Impressive!
  • I bet you have some terrific stories!!!
  • Maaaaate ;-) nice to me you too will add you :-)
  • Wowsa what a privilege especially being a Bon Scott fan! Love ACDC! Piano and bass that's great and quite the mix. Must be nice being able to travel while doing something you love like music :-)
  • Good to know re the festival I met quite a few Tam. locals on their travels through Moree (at the pub haha) and they couldn't speak highly enough of it. I should really make plans to visit for next years festival. Oh yes I remember the travels up and down the highway god I used to hate it, so much nicer on the train! I…
  • Nice :-) what genre of music do you play and instrument or singer?
  • Ah k, I wouldn't have bothered going either ;-) no I'm just being silly I'm a diehard Bulldogs fan and my brother a knights guy so it's just always a battle between teams in my house :-)
  • I've always wanted to visit Tamworth, especially the music festival :-) yes the joys of having separated parents and travelling back and forth interstate but I have to say the countryside in NSW is my favourite. I even enjoy the long country link train rides from Central through the blue mountains they are amazing! Yer I'm…
